A fox was walking and found a fat tail - very big. She wanted to grab him, but thought: “What if he is poisoned or there is a trap nearby?” - and decided to wait a little. After all, it is known that fast rivers do not reach the sea.
A little later a wolf approached.
- What are you doing here, fox? he asked.
- Yes, I’m guarding the fat tail.
“So let’s have some fun,” suggested the wolf.
- I don’t feel like it, I’m full. “Eat it yourself,” answered the fox. The wolf rushed at the fat tail and fell into a steel trap.
And the fox, having calmly eaten the fat tail, got ready to leave.
- Help me, fox! - the wolf began to ask. “If you free me, I will become good, I will not offend even a weak lamb.”
“I heard from the donkey, the bull and the horse how you repented,” said the fox and ran on, leaving the wolf in the trap.
