Children gathered in one dugout in the evening. The children played and laughed a lot. One orphan boy tried to persuade his comrades not to laugh:
- Hush, you can’t laugh at night, otherwise God will come and eat us!
But the children did not listen and laughed even louder.
The orphan heard the stomping and said: “Hush, hush, someone is coming!” The stomping became stronger. The boy closed the door. God grabbed the dugout and began to look for the door, but did not find it. He drew in air and the doors swung open. God looked into the dugout, and the children died immediately - those who laughed were left with their mouths open, those who jumped remained frozen on one leg. Only the orphan hid and remained alive.
God put him before himself. The boy fell on the skins.
- Get up quickly! - said God. -Are you pretending to be dead? Do you want to die?
- I'm afraid of you, you'll eat me!
- No, I won’t eat you. It’s better that you and I play hide and seek - do you want to? Hide well, if I find you, I’ll kill you, and if you find me, you’ll kill me too!
God hid behind the curtain, the boy immediately found him,
“Wait,” said God, “let me look for you!”
God has been looking for the boy for a long, long time. Exhausted and
says:
- Come out, I can’t find you. Where are you?
“Here I am,” said the boy and looked out from under the god’s feet. God had furry legs and the boy held on
by the hair.
- Oh, here you are! Let's play again. God hid in the porch. The boy saw God
huge eyes. Then the boy hid in a crack, and God again did not find him.
- Come out!
The boy came out and God said:
- Okay, sharpen the knife!
When the knife was sharpened, the boy stabbed the god in the chest, but not hard. Then the god tore the knife out of his chest, swung it, hit himself with the knife forcefully and fell.
God died, and the boy went to a neighboring camp.
