There lived a husband and wife, and they had a goat and a ram. So the husband says to his wife:
“Oh, Zhinka, let’s drive away the goat and the ram, otherwise they only eat our bread for nothing.” Well, get out, you goat and ram, away, so that you don’t even set foot here.
We sewed a goat and a ram bag and went. They walk and walk and suddenly they see a wolf’s head lying in the middle of a field. The ram is healthy but stupid, and the goat, although brave, is not very strong.
- Take the head, ram. You're stronger. - Oh, take it, you goat, you're braver. The two of them took it and threw it into a bag. They walk and walk, and suddenly they see a fire burning.
- Let's go there too! We'll spend the night there so that the wolves don't eat us.
They come up, and it’s the wolves who are cooking porridge.
- Great, well done! - Hello, brothers, hello! The porridge is not yet boiling, just add your meat.
It was then that the ram got scared, and the goat had been scared for a long time. The goat has made up his mind.
“Give me,” he says to the ram, “a wolf’s head.”
The ram brings.
- Not this one, but a larger one. The ram carries it again, the same one. “Yes, give me an even bigger one!”
At this point the wolves got scared and began to think and wonder how to escape from here.
- Nice company, brothers, and the porridge is boiling, but there’s nothing to top it up with; Let me go down to the water. - And the wolf went. - Damn you, get lost with your company!
The second one began to think and wonder how to escape:
- That's the enemy's son! He went and sat there, with nothing to add to the porridge. I’ll take a snag and drive him like a dog. He ran away and never returned either. And the third sat and sat:
- Now I’ll go and bring them both, damned ones!
He ran, and that was all they saw.
“Oh, brother ram, let’s quickly get to the porridge, eat it and get out of the smoking area.”
And the wolves met in the field, and changed their minds.
- Eh, why should the three of us be afraid of a goat and a ram? Let's go and eat them, the enemy's sons.
They arrived, and they quickly managed, they had already left the smoking area, ran and climbed an oak tree. The wolves began to think and wonder how they could catch up with the goat and the ram. We followed and found them on an oak tree. The timid goat climbed to the very top, and the cowardly ram climbed below him.
“Lie down,” the wolves say to the eldest, “you are the eldest, so conjure how we can get them.”
The wolf lay down and began to cast a spell. The ram sits on a branch, trembling, until it falls on the wolf. But the goat was bolder, he was not at a loss, but he screamed:
- Give me a sorcerer!
The wolves got scared and forcibly carried away their legs.
