On the edge of the village lived one man named Gevhetu.

He knew many useful herbs and went into the forest every day to get them.

One morning he headed into the forest to places known to him and suddenly saw a huge bird flying from the east. This bird flew over him and headed towards the house where the leader’s only daughter lived. There the bird sat on the edge of the pipe opening, turned its head and ducked into the pipe. Gavhetu keeps looking there. But then the bird flew out, holding something in its claws. Gavhetu saw that it was a woman. The bird flew over him again; A silver ring was visible on the woman’s left little finger. Gavhetu kept looking after them, watching until they disappeared completely. Night had already fallen and he returned to his home.

The next morning, Gavhetu went into the forest again, and when he returned home in the evening, he heard the sad news that the chief’s daughter had disappeared. The leader's warriors searched every house. In the morning they came to Gevhetu’s house. Gevhetu tells them:

- Let's quickly go to the leader's house.

The warriors led him to the leader's house. The leader began to ask him how and when he saw his daughter. Gavhetu told him everything. Then the leader says:

- Take a hundred warriors and follow the path of that bird. Gevhetu led his army. They walked for a long time to the east. They walked and walked and finally Gavhetu found a hole that went into the earth. Gevhetu ordered to build a house and tie it with ropes. The house was built and tied with ropes. Gevhetu entered the house with a bell in his left hand. He said:

“When I find the chief’s daughter, I will ring the bell three times.”

They lowered Gavheta into the hole. For a long, long time he fell in complete darkness. But then it became light, and he saw that he had reached some land. I went on foot. He walked and walked and walked and walked and finally saw the house. Gavhetu entered this house. A woman is sitting in the women's corner. It was the leader's daughter. Seeing Gevheta, she began to cry and said:

- Why did you come? He has come to his doom! But she still fed Gavkheta enough and put her to bed under the bunk. I washed everything clean myself. He sits and waits for his husband, he waits for a long time. Suddenly voices were heard on the street and the woman’s husband entered the house. He threw something at her and said:

- Here, fry it! Suddenly he shouted:

- Ugh, why does this smell like a wild deer? His wife tells him:

- This is the smell of what you brought.

The woman fed her husband, and after that the husband demanded that she search his head. The wife began to look. She searches, and he falls asleep. Snores.

The wife is calling:

- Gavhetu! Gavhetu!

The husband raised his head and asked:

- Where, which Gavhetu?

- Yes, I just shuddered.

He began to fall asleep again.

The wife searches, and the husband wakes up and then falls asleep again. Well, now, apparently, he is fast asleep, snoring, and this makes the red hair on his head rise and stand on end.

Again the woman called Gevheta. Gavhetu stood up, took her husband's sword and cut off his red hair. He died instantly.

Gevhetu and the woman, the chief's daughter, went to the previous hole. We've arrived. The leader's daughter says:

- You sit in the upper half of the house, I’ll sit in the lower half.

Gavhetu says:

- No, you sit at the top.

Well, she didn’t argue, she sat in the upper one, and Gavhetu in the lower one. Gevhetu struck the bell, and the warriors who were above dragged them away. They dragged and dragged, and as soon as they pulled out the leader’s daughter, they cut the house in half. Gevhetu fell into the ground and was badly hurt. He lay there and lay there, woke up and crawled to the house, where he took the woman away. He lay down on the mala, dozed off and had a dream that there was a door on the mala, through this door, when you enter, you will find two vessels with water, one with red, the other with white.

Gevhetu woke up, looked at the mala, and there really was one door. He entered that door and crawled for a long time until he found two vessels with water: in one there was red water, in the other white. He dipped his index finger in the white liquid and it became very bad; he dipped it in the red liquid and it became completely good. Gevhetu washed himself with red water and became healthy and strong.

He went out into the street and suddenly heard a man crying. He looked around and saw that a child was hanged on the top of a tree. He removed the child, carried him indoors and washed him there with red water. The child became healthy and beautiful. Gavhetu asks him what land he lives on. He says:

- I live not far from here. My father and my mother are now crying a lot, and this bird has carried me away.

“Well, then let’s quickly come to you,” says Gavhetu. Let's go together. They walk and walk, and the child says:

“Don’t return me to my parents for free, ask for payment, a two-headed Sevon.” Gavhetu says:

- Okay, I’ll ask.

They reached the child's relatives. Indeed, the father and mother are sitting and crying so much that they do not even notice that Gevhetu has entered with their son. Child says:

- Why are you crying?

They heard the child’s voice, rushed to kiss him, and for joy did not know what to do.

Gevhetu lived with them for a long time. Finally the child says:

- Father, give this man a two-headed sevon.

The old man gave Gevhet a two-headed sevon.

Gavhetu again went to the previous hole. When he arrived, he sat down between the two heads of the sevon and found himself on the surface of the earth. From here he walked on foot to his village. He reached the village and went straight to the leader. He told the leader everything about his journey. The leader says to him:

- Why are you lying?

“No, I’m not lying,” Gavhetu answers.

They argued for a long time. Suddenly the leader's daughter enters. She looked at Gevheta, began to cry, and then said to her father:

- This man saved me, others deceived you. The leader then learned the truth about her salvation. Gevkhetu received the leader's daughter as his wife and later became a leader himself.
