Once upon a time there lived a fox. She carried and ate kishlak chickens. But here she is

As she grew old, she no longer had the strength to steal chickens. And she decided to live

cunning and deceit.

One day she got up at dawn, took her staff and went to the village. As soon as she approached the village, one rooster, standing on the fence, crowed:

- Ku-ka-re-ku! Ku-ka-re-ku! A sly fox walks with a staff, pretending to be

old, wants to deceive the little animals and eat them!!!

“Oh, rooster, don’t say that,” the fox stopped the rooster. “I’m really old now and I swore: I won’t offend anyone anymore.” Listen, I found a blooming garden with a vineyard and fruit trees, and next to it a field of wheat and millet: ripe crumbled grains lie right on the ground! Now I don’t need anything else myself.

- Lisa, are you telling the truth? - asked the rooster.

- Of course it’s true! Am I really going to cheat in my old age? — the fox was offended.

The rooster believed the fox, thought and said:

- Hey, fox, won't you take me to your garden? And I will admire him and eat my fill of wheat!..

- Am I not going to drive? Let's go! - said the fox.

The rooster and the fox went into the garden. They walked and walked and met a chicken.

- Oh, the cheating fox! She deceived the rooster and takes him to her place to eat him! - the chicken said loudly.

The fox remained silent, and the rooster said:

- Oh chicken, don't say that! The fox has already grown old and has sworn off offending anyone. She has a blooming garden with a vineyard and fruit trees, and next to it is a field of wheat and millet - ripe crumbled grains lie right on the ground! We go to her garden.

- Lisa, are you telling the truth? - asked the chicken.

- Of course it’s true! Don't you believe the words of your relative, the rooster?

The chicken thought and said:

-Won't you take me with you? And I will admire your garden and eat wheat and millet to my heart’s content!

- Shall we not take it? Went! - said the fox and the rooster.

The three of them walked and walked, suddenly a quail fluttered in front of them. She flew, sat on a hillock and said:

- Oh, the cheating fox! She deceived the rooster and the chicken and takes them to her to eat.

The fox and the rooster were silent, but the hen said:

- Oh quail, don’t talk like that! The fox has already grown old and has sworn off offending anyone. She has a blooming garden with a vineyard and fruit trees, and next to it is a field of wheat - ripe crumbled grains lie right on the ground! We go to her garden.

- Lisa, are you telling the truth? - asked the quail.

- Of course it’s true! Don't you trust your friends? The quail thought and said:

-Won't you take me with you? And I will admire the garden and eat wheat and millet to my heart's content!

- Shall we not take it? “Let’s go,” said the fox, rooster and hen. The four of them walked and walked. They've gone far.

“I’m old and tired,” said the fox. “I once had a home in these places.” We would rest a little, then move on.

The rooster, hen and quail agreed to rest and followed the fox. The fox led them to the entrance to the cave and said:

- Please come in, dear guests!

“You come in first, you are older than us,” said the rooster.

“No, no,” the fox hastily objected, “this is my house, and you are guests.” First you sign in!

A rooster, a chicken and a quail entered the cave. The fox sat down at the entrance and said:

“Come on, rooster, tell me a story, and we’ll listen!”

“I don’t know any story, you tell it yourself, as the eldest, who has seen a lot and knows a lot,” said the rooster.

“If you don’t know the story,” said the fox, “why do you shout “ku-ka-re-ku” every morning?” and wake people up during sweet sleep? I will punish you! You must die!

Then the fox turned to the chicken:

- Hey, chicken, tell me a story, and we’ll listen!

- How do I know the story! - the chicken said with a trembling voice and fear. - Tell me, you are smarter than me and know more than anything else...

“If you don’t know the story,” the fox interrupted her, “why are you shouting “coo-coo-da!” while carrying eggs? and deafen people with your scream? You will also die as punishment!

Then the fox turned to the quail and said:

- You, quail, are also to blame! You instantly fly out from under everyone’s feet and scare everyone!

- No! - said the quail. “You can’t blame me for that!” I have a couple of witnesses, they will confirm that I am not guilty! Let me go get them.

The fox thought: “If she brings a couple more quails, then I will have five birds. I’ll be eating and enjoying them for a few days!” So the fox thought and said:

- Okay, fly and bring your two witnesses!

The quail instantly fluttered out of the cave and flew away. She flew to the forest where a hunter was walking with a dog.

The quail sat down in front of the dog. The dog wanted to grab it, but the quail flew away further. Hoping to grab the quail, the dog ran towards it again. The quail flew to another place...

So the quail led the dog to the door of the fox's house. Then the dog sniffed and sensed that there were other birds in the cave. The dog quickly ran into the cave, but immediately saw the fox and rushed at it, the fox ran out of the cave, and the dog chased after it.

- Here are a couple of my witnesses! — the quail joyfully shouted after the fox.

- We are free! - the rooster and hen cried just as joyfully, and they all headed back to the village.

The dog chased and chased the fox from side to side and completely drove it away. The fox fell and could not get up.
