Meanwhile, having grasped the meaning of the message from the first lines, the rabbit ran into a hole and did not appear again. The fox ran back to the lion's den, where she saw the deer talking to the lion. Deer said:
“I want to see written proof that you are a lion.”
Lev said:
“When I’m not hungry, I don’t need to bother you, but when I’m hungry, you don’t need any writing.”
The fox said to the lion:
“Why didn’t you tell me to do this when I asked for an ID for the rabbit?”
“My friend,” said the lion, “you should have said that the rabbit demanded the ID.” I thought that it was necessary for those stupid human beings from whom some of the animals learned such discrimination.
