Fox and jackal

Once a jackal and a fox were running along a deserted road. The jackal asks the fox:

- Tell me, little fox, how many sciences have you mastered?

“Half,” answered the fox. - And you? - And I’m two and a half! – the jackal grinned smugly.

“In that case, run ahead of me, like a more learned person,” the fox sarcastically advised.

They run further, and a hungry tiger meets them. So the fox says to the jackal:

- Come on, come up with something quickly, otherwise the tiger will eat us! .

The jackal begged:

“I can’t think of anything, little fox.” If you don't save us, our hour of death has come!

- That's it, scientist! - said the fox. - Let me go ahead.

And with these words she overtook the jackal and turned to the tiger:

– Great tiger, may Allah prolong the days of your life! Resolve our dispute!

- Speak! – the tiger said angrily, looking around at the animals and thinking which of them would eat first.

“You see, we caught two roosters and a chicken, and it was because of them that the argument arose. I say that the roosters should go to me, and the jackal says that they should go to him.

The tiger licked his lips and asked:

- And... where are they, these roosters of yours?

- It’s not far from here, in a cave!

“You see, dear fox, I need to look at these roosters.” Otherwise I can’t decide anything. Let’s go have a look at them,” said the tiger, looking forward to a delicious lunch.

And the animals ran to the cave. We got there, but the tiger couldn’t get into it because the entrance was very narrow. Then the tiger ordered:

- Hey, jackal, go into the cave, bring me the roosters! The jackal bowed and disappeared into the cave. A minute passes, then another, and still there is no jackal. Here the fox says:

- Oh, Shaitan, he came in, but he doesn’t come out! As if he didn't eat all the roosters there!

The tiger became furious and ordered the fox to drag the vile jackal out of the cave.

The fox rushed into the cave. She sat down there next to the jackal and said:

- Well, how are you, scientist?

The jackal didn’t answer, he just blushed. And the tiger waited for the fox, waited, he got tired, he shouted:

- Hey, fox, come out! I'm tired of waiting!

- Nothing, wait, buddy! - the fox answers him. “The jackal and I have already made peace.”
