Unprecedented, unearthly, comparable only to the beauty of the sun in the sky, was the beauty of Princess Satanay.
Long black eyebrows, sparkling eyes, thick hair shining in the sun, a slender figure. Satanai, with her beauty, unprecedented throughout the entire earth, was not even conceited, and did not worry about the fact that there might be someone more beautiful than her.
Princess Satanay loved to relax on the banks of the Kuban, swim, and wash clothes. She fell in love with the bluish waves of the river, which embraced her in their warm embrace, caressing and hugging her slender figure. Princess Satanay swam back and forth in the stagnant places of the Kuban, the sun stopped and looked at her with envy, and the flowers, stretching out their heads, bent towards the water, hoping that Satanay would see them. Wild forest animals came out into the clearing and, marveling at the beauty of the bathing woman, did not even pluck the grass growing around.
When Princess Satanay entered the Kuban River, the animals in the forest froze and no birds flew in the sky. The old people say that even the water itself became numb. When she walked along the banks of the river, and some flower caught her eye, she caressed it, as one caresses a child.
She caressed all the flowers equally, but she loved one flower more than all the others. Sometimes she took care of this flower where it grew, and sometimes she came there and took it home to plant it in her own place.
When she went somewhere, she missed this flower like a very close friend and returned home quickly, in a hurry. And the flower was very interesting - it closed with the sun and blossomed at dawn.
Even if she talked in her sleep, she always addressed her flower. Seeing how much she loved him, those beautiful flowers growing in the open air at the confluence of the big Kam and the big Khurzuk were named Satanai.
