One night, Mulla Nasrudin saw his neighbor with a lamp in his hands looking for something on the hill behind their house. The mullah went out into the yard and called out to his neighbor:
-What are you looking for there so late at night?
“My wife lost my flint,” answered the neighbor, “and I can’t light a cigarette.”
“You have a lamp in your hands,” Mulla remarked, “can’t you light it from its fire?” The neighbor seemed to have woken up from a dream.
“Mulla, it didn’t occur to me.”
“Yes,” said Nasreddin, “we have so much intelligence that, holding a burning lamp in our hands, we look for flint.”
