Fisherman and hunter

Fisherman and hunter
Enlight

A fisherman and a hunter lived in the same village. One day a fisherman decided to fish, and a hunter was going into the forest to shoot animals.

The fisherman was the first to leave the house. He went to the river, undressed there, folded his clothes on the shore and entered the water. At this time, a hunter passed by and took the fisherman’s clothes.

- Hey, these are my clothes! - the fisherman shouted from the water. - Put it back!

But the hunter answered:

“You shouldn’t have left her on the shore.” You could tie the clothes around your hips. I found her and now she is mine.

“Then let’s go to the leader, let him judge us,” said the fisherman.

“Let’s go,” the hunter agreed.

And both went to the leader for trial. They told how it happened, and the leader said:

“You, fisherman, really shouldn’t have left your clothes on the shore.” The hunter is right, I should have tied it around my hips. The one who found the clothes can now take it for himself.

The fisherman returned home naked. At this time it began to rain heavily. The hunter was just passing by the fisherman's hut and hid with one foot under its roof.

“This is my leg,” the fisherman said then and grabbed the hunter’s leg.

“Let go of my leg,” the hunter asked. — It's raining, I just wanted to hide.

“Hide in your hut,” answered the fisherman. - And leave the leg to me. She's mine now.

They both decided to turn to the leader again. They told him how it happened. And the leader said:

- When you were arguing about clothes, you, the hunter, decided that you had the right to take them for yourself, because the fisherman did not wear them. Now the fisherman saw your leg under his roof and wanted to take that leg. Well, hunter, I told you: you can take the clothes. Now I tell the fisherman: you have the right to the hunter’s leg, you can cut it off.

And the fisherman cut off the hunter's leg.
