Once upon a time there lived a king. Every day the monk read him passages from the Bhagavad Gita and explained what he read. After the explanation, the monk usually asked:
- O king, did you understand what I told you?
The king did not answer either affirmatively or negatively. In such cases he usually said:
- First, try to figure it out yourself.
Such answers from the king embarrassed the monk, for he always prepared for meetings for a long time and considered his explanation clear and understandable.
The monk was a true spiritual seeker. One day while meditating, he saw the illusory and relative nature of reality - home, family, wealth, friends, fame, reputation and everything else. He realized this so clearly that the craving for all this completely disappeared from his heart. He decided to become a sannyasin and go on a journey.
Before leaving, he sent the king a short message:
-Oh king! Finally I understand!
