“Shut up, stupid,” said the fox, “the house does not belong to the tiger, but to my father, and I inherited it.” And if this is not so, what do you care?
“Really, what do I care? What the fox seeks, he will get,” thought the monkey.
“Let’s leave here ourselves,” the fox calls, “the tiger is a strong beast, so as not to get us into trouble.”

Meanwhile the tiger returned. The monkey quickly rushed to him and told him everything. The tiger listened to the monkey and thought: “This must not be a fox, but someone else. What kind of fox would dare to live in my house?” And the monkey swears and swears that it is a fox, that she herself spoke to him, that she is not so stupid as not to distinguish a fox from other animals.
“You speak reasonably,” agreed the tiger, “but I can’t believe that a fox can behave this way.”
Meanwhile, the fox orders his wife:
- When the tiger approaches us, make the fox cubs cry. I’ll ask: “Why are these kids crying?”, and you say louder that they’re crying because they’re asking for fresh tiger cub.
The fox sensed the tiger and whispered to the fox cubs to cry.
- Why are these kids crying? - asks the fox.
“They want fresh tiger cub,” the fox answered loudly.
“But I just brought a tiger into the house yesterday.” Have they already eaten it?
- No, we haven’t eaten it yet. They demand fresh food.
“Wait, kids,” the fox began to calm the cubs, “when a tiger appears nearby, I’ll catch him, you’ll have some fresh food.”
The tiger heard this, jumped out of the house and, well, ran, he couldn’t feel his feet under him.
The monkey approached the tiger and was surprised:
“Don’t you understand that the fox is deceiving you?” Let's go, don't be afraid of him!
The fox saw that the tiger and the monkey were coming, and again the fox cubs asked them to whine louder. And the fox says:
- Well, calm the kids down! There will be something fresh for them! The monkey, my great friend, promised to bring the tiger today.
The tiger heard this and ran away in fear, so far that he was never seen again in these places. And the fox was left to live and live.
