Fair fakir

Fair fakir

One day a fakir came into a shop and asked the shopkeeper something. The shopkeeper cursed him in response.

The fakir got angry, took off his sandal and hit the shopkeeper on the forehead with it. The shopkeeper got angry and ran to complain to the policeman. He called the fakir to him and told him this:

“You, poor fakir, dared to insult a worthy shopkeeper!” Now pay him eight annas for the insult.

The fakir grinned, took out a rupee and handed it to the policeman.

- If this, in your opinion, is justice, then give the shopkeeper eight annas yourself, and take the rest for yourself!

And with these words he hit the policeman on the forehead with his sandal.
