Once Farid, in a conversation with King Akbar, expressed the opinion that most often a person himself is to blame for all his troubles. After discussing this issue, they decided to conduct an experiment. Having placed a wallet with gold coins on the bridge, they ordered one poor man to cross the bridge to the other side. The man passed without noticing the wallet. When asked at the other end of the bridge what he saw on the bridge, he replied:

- Nothing.

It turned out that at the moment when he approached the wallet, something made him turn his head in the other direction; something on the river suddenly caught his attention.
