There is no such person who does not love himself, does not believe in himself and does not have the desire to rise higher and higher. Even a person who does not believe in God believes in himself and wants to gain strength to maintain this faith in himself.
People came to darshan (view) of the guru, the sage who taught them, with flowers and fruits. There were already a lot of gifts, and the guru, calling the disciple, asked him to cut the fruits and distribute them to people as prasad (consecrated food). When everything was ready, the student asked who he should offer the fruit to first. The Guru advised him to start with the one he trusts and believes in the most. All those present were sure that the teacher would come first, and then the rest. But the student acted differently. He took the first fruit for himself. Amazed people asked him for an explanation, and he said that since he had the greatest trust and love for himself, he took the fruit first.
