Let the raven and the Easter cake get married.
They arrive at the swan camp, and then a snowstorm arises. The owner says:
- Well, suitors, which of you knows how to make good weather?
“I am,” says the raven, “just give me strong clothes and more food.”
They gave the raven strong bags and meat, and the raven went to the salk. He lay down in a snowdrift and didn’t come out until he had eaten everything, and then he came and said: “I can’t make the weather good.”
Then the little Easter cake went, took a piece of yukola with it and flew into the sky. I saw a celestial Easter cake there. A celestial being stands and throws snow onto the ground with a shovel.
- Let me help you! - says the little boy.
- Yes, we have only one spatula!
“Well, you rest, and I’ll work,” says the little boy. He took the shovel and flew to the ground.
There was nothing left to throw snow on the ground...
The celestial being gave chase, but no matter how hard he chased, he never caught up with the little boy. Kulichok pulled away the shovel, and the ground became warm.
The swans gave the grooms a new lesson - to get good food for the deer. Raven volunteered:
- I am!
He led a herd of crows to where the Chukchi had previously camped. There was various garbage lying there, and dead dogs, and old moss - bedding for the little guys.
“Here,” says the raven, “it will be good here: there is moss for the deer, and I have something to eat!”
The swans ask the Easter cake:
- Maybe you can get some food for the deer?
And he led the little camp and the herd into the tundra. He brought me to a new place, where there was a lot of moss, mushrooms and berries.
They gave the suitors another lesson - to chop firewood in the tundra,
The crow took a large sled and a long rope and went into the tundra. I found a rotten branch. He put the branch on the sled and wrapped it with rope so that not even the branch was visible.
All the inhabitants of the camp laughed at the raven.
Now he took the sleigh and went to collect firewood, and the raven went to bed. The raven woke up, went towards the little Easter cake, came up and said:
- Let me help, I’m stronger than you!
He saw a dead bear with its mouth open on the firewood, got scared, ran away to the camp, shouted to everyone to hide the children, that the Easter cake was carrying something terrible, and he hid under the skins, and fell asleep, and when he woke up, it turned out that the bear that the Easter cake had brought had already been eaten, and the crow was left with only its claws. In the morning the raven was told:
- Get away from us, we don’t have a bride for you!
An angry raven walks across the tundra, squinting from the sun. He became even more angry, rose up, pushed the sun, the sun began to blink, and the raven grabbed him, put him by the cheek, and darkness fell on the earth.
The inhabitants of the tundra were frightened, and the little boy said:
- The raven did it!
The crow-swan bride heard this and went to look for the raven. I searched and searched. A raven sits on the ground, his cheeks puffed out and stuck out.
The swan leaned over to the raven, began to tickle his neck, and said:
- I feel sorry for you, let's come to us!
The raven shudders, but does not open its mouth. Then the swan tickled under its wing, the raven laughed and opened its mouth.
The sun flew out, rose into the sky, and everyone felt good and happy. The raven and the swan went home. Swan says:
- I can’t go, I’m tired. Make me a sharp stick, I will lean on it.
The raven made a sharp stick and gave it to the bride, and the swan hit him and pierced him through. She picked up the other end of the stick, stuck it in the ground and said:
- This is for the sun!
