The Elephant realized that he had lost and began to ask the Tiger for a deferment.
“So be it,” agreed the Tiger. - Just be careful not to deceive me. Come to this place in exactly a week. I'll be waiting for you.
The Elephant went to the river bank and began to mourn his fate.
Then the Hare approached him and asked:
– What are you grieving about, Elephant?
The Elephant told about his trouble, so, so and so, he made a bet with the Tiger and lost, and now the Tiger will eat him.
“Don’t be sad,” the Hare tells him. - Bake more cakes and come to me in seven days.
The elephant baked cakes and on the seventh day came to the Hare,
The Hare climbed onto his head and ordered him to go to the place where the Tiger was waiting for the Elephant. Seeing the Tiger from afar, the Hare began to devour delicious cakes, saying loudly:
“It turns out that the Elephant doesn’t have enough brains; I’m not full enough yet.” This Tiger turned out to be very useful here.
