Eagle owls and hare

Eagle owls and hare
Enlight

Sitting on a branch, two eagle owls watched the hare, which scampered across the autumn stubble, as if a pack of greyhounds were chasing it.

- Poor little bunny! - said one of the owls. “He doesn’t even have the courage to hide in a hole.”

- Why? - the other one became interested.

- Because it's scary.

- Strange. What should he be afraid of in his own home?

“All hares are like that,” answered the first owl. “They live in eternal fear, and fear has big eyes.” Especially now, when the leaves have begun to fall, hares are running around like crazy at the sight of the colorful rain of falling leaves. They are frightened by any change in nature.

- So, then, hares are cowards!

- Certainly. So this little hare gallops without looking back across a bare field until he falls into a trap or gets caught in the sights of a well-aimed hunter.

Truly they say: whoever lives in fear dies from fear.
