Two rich monsters were fighting over their den. Both monsters were covered in silver scales. They ate only gold. None of them could defeat each other. Then one of them, who was weaker, went far into the taiga and found Russians along the way. There were seven of them. Dyabdar surrounded them with his body, closing his head and tail. The Russians found themselves surrounded. They say:
- How can we escape from the monster? How to get out of this ring?
And Dyabdar thinks: “Out of these seven Russians, I will release six people, and leave one.”
Among these people, one was very poor; he had nothing. And our Dyabdar decided to take the poor man to his aid so that he would help him deal with another monster, Dyabdar. Dyabdar says to the poor man:
- Come on, sit on my back!
The man sat on Dyabdar's back and rode on the monster. But the man forgot his gun on the ground. Dyabdar stopped, and the poor man took all his hunting equipment from the ground.
Dyabdar says to the man:
“You will now become my assistant, you will begin to fight in the den with my enemy.”
Dyabdar and his Russian poor man rushed to the den of the second Dyabdar and stopped. The Russian hunter took aim for a long time and finally killed the second Dyabdar with a shot.
He gave half of the gold that Dyabdar awarded the poor man to the sun, and from then on the days became warm and bright. The hunter gave a piece of gold to the month. Since then, the month began to shine brightly at night. Many stars appeared in the sky. The Russian hunter got rich. From then on he never met Dyabdar again.
