Sufi parable from Rumi Once upon a time, a burr got under the tail of a donkey. Who can the unfortunate donkey ask for help? She jumped, rolled on the ground, kicked, but the burdock only pierced deeper and burned her body unbearably.
Trying to free herself from the thorn, she roared so much that one of the nearby drivers got tired of it all, and he came up to her and gave her a kick in the ass. From this kick, the burdock came off, flew away, and the donkey calmed down.
Should we be angry with those who, in difficult times, save us from trouble with their kick?
