Once upon a time there lived an old leader. He had a dog. One day, a stranger-hunter asked the leader for shelter. And the leader did not refuse him shelter.
After some time, the alien robbed the leader and ran away. The thief knew that he would be chased and hid in the tall grass near the chief's house. And the leader, thinking that the thief had gone far, left the house without fear, and then the thief killed the leader.
The dog, which followed on the heels of its owner, chased the killer, overtook him, threw him to the ground and chewed him to death. Howling pitifully, mourning the death of her owner, she walked along the path.
The dog met a man who asked what grief befell him. And the dog told him about the hunter’s ingratitude.
A passerby sympathized with the dog and asked how he could help her. The dog replied that she needed only one thing: for him to bury her murdered owner. And a passerby did it.
As a token of gratitude, the dog gave him all the property of the murdered owner. The man gladly accepted this gift and even settled in the leader’s house. But he didn't feed the dog well. And after a while the dog got sick and died. Just that day, a passer-by knocked on the door and asked for shelter. The owner of the house allowed him to stay. And then one day an alien stole all his savior’s property and left him in poverty.
And the man went to look for work because he had nothing to eat. But he didn’t find any work, no one needed him.
Tired of searching in vain, hungry and sad, he lay down in the shade under a large tree and fell asleep. And the dog appeared to him in a dream.
- So this is how you thanked me for all the good I did to you! If you had fed me well and not starved me, I would not have died. And now, until the end of your days, you will be like a stray dog, wandering from house to house, but you will not find anyone who will shelter you and feed you! - said the dog.
