One man learned the language of animals. One day he was walking through the village when suddenly a noise attracted his attention. At the end of the street he saw a donkey desperately braying at a dog, which was barking at him with all its might. The man approached and began to listen.
“All this speaks only about grass and pastures,” said the dog, “but I want to tell you about meat and bones, for this is what I eat.”
Here the man could no longer restrain himself and intervened in their conversation:
“You could come to something in common if you realized that the usefulness of hay is similar to the usefulness of meat.”
The animals turned sharply towards the uninvited guest. The dog barked at him fiercely, and the donkey kicked him so hard with his hind legs that he fell unconscious. Not paying any more attention to him, they continued their argument.
