One day two shepherds started a dispute between themselves about the affairs of the state. And one of them stupidly condemned the sovereign, and the other inappropriately defended his rule. Hoarse from shouting and fighting, they could not prove anything to each other. In their hearts, the shepherds decided to follow the road until they found a person who could resolve their dispute.
So, cursing, they went to God knows where, leaving the herd. Soon, fortunately, they met a village priest on his way to the service. The shepherds told him their dispute and asked him to judge them. And the priest answered them: “My children! The essence of your dispute is that one of you is milking a goat, and the other is putting a sieve on it!”
Taken aback by this answer, the shepherds remembered the work they had abandoned and hurried back to the flocks...
