Moses was bedridden, and although various doctors offered him remedies for his illness, he refused them all, trusting in God. However, the Lord himself is said to have commanded Moses to use the medicine, saying:
— By rejecting medicines, you question the wisdom of the one who endowed them with healing properties!
That is why it is said: “Believe in God and tie your camel at night.” If you don't do this, then why do you even need such a thing as a camel bridle?
Hazrat Bahauddin Naqshbandi once said on this matter:
- If a withering leaf by its appearance tells you that the plant needs watering, then since you can do it, this is your duty, these “words” of the leaf are nothing more than an order from the creator to you personally. And if you are waiting for something else, ask yourself: if there is a means of communication between you and the creator, is it then to neglect it?
