And the Wizard put on a top-notch performance with rabbits out of a hat, flags appearing out of nowhere, and amazing transformations of things. The villagers were delighted. Then he asked:
- Do you want to eat or have some more fun now?
The residents were unanimous: they had never seen such amazing tricks before.
Then the Wizard turned into a dove, then into a hawk, and then into a dragon. The audience was at the peak of delight. And he asked them again, and they wanted more miracles.
They got what they wanted.
Then he asked if they were hungry, and they were.
Then the Wizard made them think that they were eating, using magic tricks to distract their attention.
The imaginary feast and entertainment continued all night. When the sun rose, some said, “It’s time for us to go to work.” Then the Wizard inspired them to go to work, work and return to him again. This always happened when one of them said that he needed to go somewhere and do something.
Finally, he took control of all the residents, and they worked only for him, although they thought that they were living their normal lives. When they showed dissatisfaction, he convinced them that they were at his home for dinner, and they calmed down.
What happened to the Wizard and the inhabitants in the end? It is impossible to say for sure, because everything described here continues to this day.
