Once upon a time there lived a merchant, well, he was, of course, rich, and he still wanted to build a factory on one river, but he had no children. And so that this plant works with water, and not some other way. And then one day he says to his wife:
- Well, wife, you stay at home, look after the trade, and even if it takes me a year, I’ll find a foreman for this factory.
And just like that, he said goodbye and left. A month passed, and two, and three, and she remained in position; he didn't know, of course.
And suddenly a tall man meets him in a good ceremony:
- Hello, comrade merchant.
- Hello, hello, good fellow.
-Where did you go?
-Where to? If it wasn’t necessary, I wouldn’t have gone; Yes, I’ve been going for four months now, but I just can’t find what I need. I need to operate a factory on one river, but I can’t find a foreman.
A tall man spoke:
- Hire me, merchant, as a foreman, I will work for you, but not earlier than in three years; This is no joke - a plant on the river. And I'll charge you inexpensively.
- Well, tell me, how much will you charge me for the plant, for the work?
- How much should I charge you? Yes, I’ll take a little from you: give me the unknown at home, that’s all I’ll take. And I’ll work on the plant for you; only for a period of three years.
The merchant thought, thought: “What unknown things do I have at home? I still have a wife, I haven’t had any children, I know cattle, I know trade, but I haven’t been home for four months, what’s wrong? - I don't know. There’s nothing, and if it works without money, it’s probably cheap.”
He thought and thought and said:
- Well, go ahead, work the plant for a period of three years.
And so they began to write an agreement.
So they made an agreement, the merchant signed, the master signed and said:
- Well, go home now, and I’ll come to you in a month.
And the merchant left. So he comes home, his wife comes out, meets him and carries a boy and a girl in her arms. He immediately thought: “Oh, what am I, I thought it was cheap, but now it’s a pity. Well, there’s nothing you can do.”
And, of course, he didn’t say anything. Not much time has passed before the master arrives. This master was the devil himself. And so he works for a whole year. The guys have gotten big and are running around. And they grow so quickly that by leaps and bounds.
In the second year, the guy ran outside and started playing with the guys. And his name was Vanyusha. And he made such a jester self-shooter and kept walking around shooting. And once he threw an arrow through the grandmother’s window and broke the old lady’s window.
This old woman ran out and shouted:
- Eh, you, raised by your fathers, you are a master messenger! Your father promised you to the foreman, who works at the plant, that soon the foreman will take you away from here with your sister; You won't break my windows!
And this old woman knew how to do magic.
Well, he comes home, of course, he bursts into tears and says to his father and mother:
“Well, as you promised me, father, to the master, he will take me and my sister away from here.”
“Come on, Vanyusha,” he says, “whatever the old woman said to you, it’s because you broke her window.”
But the mother knows nothing; and my sister was very little, her name was Marya. So the boy convinced, the guy began to play again as before.
So the guy forgot about all this and one day again shot the old woman through the window.
Again the old woman says to him:
“You are such and such, your father’s little boy, your father promised you to the master, you will soon leave here, you will not break my windows!”
He again went to his father in tears.
“Listen, father, tell me, you promised me to the master, tell me, grandmother says it for good reason.”
- Come on, Vanyusha, your grandmother told you again.
- Well, if that’s the case, then give me the money, I need to go pay my grandmother.
And he himself thinks: “He’s not telling me, but I need to go to my grandmother to find out why all this is not for nothing.”
So his father gave him money, he went to his grandmother, and his mother heard all this, crying, and what should she do? And so he went to the old woman, and this was already in the third year, they had already started to come out for months, the plant was soon ready.
“Here, grandma, forgive me that I broke the windows, out of stupidity, but I remembered that you need to pay money, and brought it.” And tell me how my father promised me to the master.
“I want to find out the truth, but my father stands there and doesn’t tell me.”
“So, child, your father promised you to the master of both of you and your sister.” It’s good that you came to me, so I’ll teach you how to escape from here. There is still a month of time, and then there will be no escape. Then she says:
“Here, Ivanushko, I’ll give you a small piece of paper, a flap and a vest, and I’ll tell you how to act.” So go to your father, to your mother, and start baking plantains. This is how they bake the plantains, and you leave. He will begin to catch up with you, you throw the small piece of paper and say: “Stand, dark forests, from earth to sky, from east to west, so that this villain does not pass, does not pass.” The forest will become dense. This is how he will catch up with you again, throw the flint and say that “stand, dark mountains, from earth to sky, from east to west.” You will stand behind the mountains, and he will reach you again, and at this time you will come to the river. And take off this vest, wave it in the wind, and a boat will form. And you cross a river, and there is a little house there, and an old man lives there. You will live with this old man. But he won’t get across this river, not only won’t he get through, but he doesn’t dare cross.
Grandmother told all this, and he went to his father. He comes to his father and mother and says:
- Well, father, if you gave us to the master, then bake plantains, we need to leave here. Here the mother cries and says:
-Where will you go when you are still little?
- What to do, such is fate. And the father cries and says:
- Yes, I didn’t know, but this and that; To hell with him and with the factory, and with the foreman!
Well, there's nothing to do. By morning they baked plantains for them, the guys got up, ate, drank, took a little bag each and set off. The foreman is finishing the plant, of course, and does not know this business. They go, they go the right way, they all get ahead. They are still small, where they can sit and rest, but everyone gets ahead. And the master found out about this matter, that the guys left.
- Well, okay, it will still be mine.
And so he hurries, finalizes; finalizes and says to the merchant:
- Well, the plant is ready; where are the guys?
- Yes, the guys left to be ready for you, and we didn’t even look at them.
- OK.
And he set off to catch up with them. Runs, runs; So he saw them and shouted:
- Wait, children, let's go together!
So Vanyusha heard and threw the float.
- Stand, dark forests, from earth to sky, from east to west, so that this villain does not pass, does not pass!
So he ran to these forests. Well, what should I do? The scaffolding has become. He began to gnaw, break, and gnaw through, and at this time the guys went far away.
And then he caught up again and shouted:
- Oh, Vanyushka, you learned how to cast magic. Wait with me. And you, Masha, wait. If you stop, I will take you and kill him.
Vanyusha says nothing, threw the flint and said:
- Arise, dark mountains, from earth to sky, from east to west, so that this villain does not pass, does not pass!
So what should he do? He ran again into these forests, began to beat and break the club in order to gnaw through the mountains. While I was running back and forth, the guys had gone far. And the guys come and see such a stormy stream, and there’s just thunder. Vanyusha takes off his vest and waves. and the flow immediately subsided, a boat formed. They moved across, he waved again, and the threshold began to rustle again. And he sees that he’s standing there beyond the threshold, but no voice is heard. So they went forward. They walked, walked, walked and saw that there was a house. And they entered this house, and there was no one in the house - empty. And there is a lot of food on the table, there is something to eat. And they don’t dare to eat, although they want to eat. Then Vanyusha spoke:
“Well, sister, let’s take some, as we really want to eat, and then we’ll bury ourselves somewhere.” However, my grandmother told me that my grandfather lives alone; He won't do anything to us.
They ate a little, took it into the oven and hid. They sleep - they don’t sleep, but sit and think: “What will happen to us now?” Suddenly they hear - they are coming. Males are running ahead, and an old man is running behind. And he came, pushed through the door and sat down on the bench. And these dogs looked into the hut, there, at the stove and found out that there were people and began to bark. And the old man spoke:
- Tsits, males, if there is anyone there, they will come out. Yes, so the old man spoke:
- Listen, whoever is there, come out, if they are old, let them be my brothers, if they are old, then let them be my sisters, if they are young, let them be sons, and if they are young girls, then let them be daughters. Come out, otherwise it’s bad, the dogs will get you! Well, what should I do? They left.
- Oh, what little children you are. Well, where are you from? They, of course, told him everything.
- Well, that’s good: live with me and God, no one will find you here, but now sit down to eat.
They, of course, happily sat down at the table and began to eat. Then grandfather says:
- Here, Ivanushko, live here with me forever. You can't get anywhere from here; and you, daughter, live like a sister to him. Prepare dinner for us or whatever the housework is, and we’ll do our thing with him. But live here while I live. I, Ivanushko, have been walking around for thirty years, digging my own grave, but I can’t dig it all up, with my male dogs. And listen, males, when I die soon, then obey Ivan in everything. Serve and help him, just as they served me.
Now one male jumped up on grandfather’s neck, and the other on Ivan, and said:
“We will help in everything and obey Ivan the merchant’s son.”
And now he says again:
“Here, Ivanushko, tomorrow I’ll go into the forest again, and you go for a walk with a gun, whatever you want, just don’t go far from home, otherwise your sister will be bored.” And if the sun comes to the west, and the males come running alone, it means that there will be no more of me, I will be dead.
And so they slept through the night, grandfather went at eight o’clock, and Ivanushko went for a stroll at about ten o’clock. My sister, of course, stayed around the house to tidy up some things. And so he walked for a while and came back home. They began to wait for grandfather; We’ve already had some tea and Grandpa is still not there. The sun is in the west, and there are no dogs.
They missed you. And suddenly Ivanushko looks, the males are running alone, but the grandfather is not. He thought: “He’s dead, I don’t have a grandfather anymore.”
The male dogs came running and threw themselves on Ivan’s neck.
- Well, okay, guys, what should we do? We’ll live without grandpa, just help me with everything.
So they began to live alone, only the males with him. Wherever Ivan went, the dogs went with him, and didn’t stay a single step. So, of course, he goes into the forest, takes a gun, and the dogs follow him, but his sister still remains at home. And so he went hunting every day. They had enough birds. He carried all the game, and that’s how they lived.
And once again he went into the forest. What did your sister think?
- I’ll go and go to the river, is this little devil standing there?
I got ready and went.
He comes to the river and looks, there is an imp behind the river shouting:
- Eh, Masha, move me, you and I will live, but we will destroy my brother. You and your brother won’t live anyway, but you and I will live.
- So how can I transport you, such a raging river, I won’t be able to transport you.
- You will transport it. Take a vest from your brother, he has it in the bedroom; wave your vest, a boat will form, and in this boat you will transport me.
And she thought: “What do I care, you won’t live with your brother. I need to get someone."
I went to the bedroom, took out this vest and went to the river. He comes to the river and waves this vest. The river died down and a boat formed. So she transported this little devil and put the vest in its old place. And he tells her:
- Well, Masha, you and I will live together, but we’ll kill our brother. He will come and we will kill him.
Yes, and then, of course, things moved on for the evening. Vanyusha is walking with the males. The little devil looked out the window.
“Oh,” he says, “grandfather’s dogs are coming, they’ll tear me apart together.” I thought my grandfather had died and the dogs were together, but they would tear me apart. Wrap me in a pin and put it in my braid, otherwise I won’t be able to escape.
Well, now he turned himself into a pin, she put it in her braid and pretended to be sick.
And as soon as these dogs came running, they rushed into the hut, there was such a barking, a noise like an unclean spirit, they were ready to straight up tear this sister apart. So, of course, she pretended, cried, and said:
- Brother, calm down the dogs, I can’t, I can’t calm down the dogs.
- Tsits, males!
So he doesn’t know anything about it, he sat down at the table, ate, and then fell asleep. And my sister went into the bedroom to sleep. And the devil says to her:
- Listen, pretend to be sick. And here this magical bear walks around, he doesn’t let anyone through, he eats all the people. You say: “Brother, bring me some wool from this bear.” He will go and he will tear him apart. So we will get rid of him, and from his dogs, and from himself.
And so she gets up in the morning, came to her brother and said:
“Listen, brother, go to the forest, I saw it in a dream, there is a bear there, get some wool from it, I’ll steam it in milk, and I’ll get better.”
- Well, okay, sister.
He takes the dogs and goes into the forest. He goes, of course, into the forest, comes into the thicket. Looks - a bear is approaching. The dogs started barking, he took the gun and wanted to shoot him. And the bear says:
“What do you want, Ivan the merchant’s son, to shoot me?”
- Well, my sister needs to be cured, the wool should be steamed in milk, and she will get better.
“Why,” he says, “they shoot me, so I’ll go myself.”
- Well, let's go together.
The bear ran. Here they are walking in the evening, now there are four of them. The little devil looks out the window:
“The trouble is, the magic bear is still coming.” Now there is no salvation for me. Shove me quickly into the fire with a needle, and don’t let them plow the ashes. Say: “Brother, I can’t, for God’s sake calm down.”
They just ran into the hut, they made a noise, they were in the heat, turning over the ashes. She screamed:
- Brother, for God's sake calm down, they will destroy the whole oven; I can’t rob, it’s all broken!
- Tsits, males! Sit down, Misha.
He sat down. And then we had dinner, of course, and went to bed. The bear fell at his feet, and the dogs fell on his sides. And she went to her room. Here he says:
“Listen, today such a thing must be done: there is a nightingale in the forest, it whistles, leaves fall, its beak is like an iron arshin, and as soon as it pecks, it’s death.” Now, if you take a feather from him.
And so he gets up in the morning, and she comes up to him:
- Listen, brother, I couldn’t get better, but as if in a dream I saw that there was a nightingale in the forest. Here, get a pen from him.
- Well, okay, sister, I'll go.
He gathers his squad and goes again. And then he went out into the forest and saw a nightingale sitting, and the dogs were barking at the top of their lungs. He took out his gun and wanted to shoot, and the nightingale spoke:
- Why do you, Ivan the merchant’s son, want to shoot me?
- Yes, we need to correct my sister, get her a pen.
“Well, if she needs to get better, I’ll fly myself.”
And he flew after him. And they came; he looks out the window:
- Well, the nightingale is also flying. Now save me, as you know, put a pin in my braid, otherwise there is no way to be saved. As soon as he finds out, the trouble is, he’s even worse than all of them!
And so they fly into the hut, making a noise even louder than before, and there she is yelling:
- Brother, help, your dogs will tear me apart, and all the animals!
- Tsits, males, lie down, Mishka!
He gave them something to eat and ate it himself. And they fell asleep. And she was already lying there, not moving. Gave her a feather.
- Here, sister, take a steam bath and get better.
And when he went to bed, the devil said:
- Well, that's it, we can't do anything with him, but only one more thing. Let him go to the factory that his father built and bring sawdust from there. And my plant is so built that whoever goes in there won’t come out. They will all go in there and never come out again. And so she gets up in the morning and says:
“That’s it, brother, do me one more service, and if that doesn’t work out, then I’m going to die anyway.” Go to this factory where the father worked for a master, bring me sawdust from there.
- OK.
I ate and left. He walked away a little, and the nightingale and the bear said to him:
“Listen, Vanyusha, you need to stay here, but we’ll go and go.” Let people work, this plant needs to be cleaned up. We'll go and go. Of course, it won't be good for you. He’ll tell you: “Now you’re in, I’ll eat you,” you tell him: “Let me wash myself in the bain, I haven’t been in the bain for a long time, and eat there, you’ll die anyway.” They will give it to you, and you burn with such brainy wood, take your time so that we can come to your rescue. We will come back to you not by land, but by underground, straight to your place, and when we come to you, you then say: “Here, go, eat.”
So they left, of course, and he came back, and he was sitting with his sister:
“Well, Vanyusha, I’ve been looking for you for a long time; Now you're caught, I'll eat you. He began to pray:
- Listen, let me heat the baina, I’ve been walking and walking, I haven’t been to the baina for a long time; Let me steam the mow, and then eat it.
Sister says:
- Well, give it to him, let him drown the baina.
And so, of course, he went out to drown this firewood, chopped some thin wood, he stoked it, but the wood just wouldn’t burn. He comes running:
- Well, are you ready?
- What are you talking about, the wood doesn’t burn, I can’t even heat a firewood.
- Well, hurry up, hurry up!
Left. So he drowned out the tamotki a little, and he comes again:
- Well, how soon?
- Just wait, I’m just starting to wash, kid, and the water is cold.
- Well, quickly, quickly, I’ll come for the third time, so be ready!
“Now,” he thinks, “if they don’t keep up now, I’ll be in trouble.”
Here he looks, the nightingale is already aiming straight from under the regiment, and Mishka is taking aim, and the dogs are there.
- Was there?
- Was, was; will come again soon.
And he washes himself on the shelf there. Suddenly he comes running for the third time.
- Well, how soon?
- Yes, it’s ready, it doesn’t matter now.
That's how he just stretched out his head, the nightingale gave him a beak, Mishka crushed him, and the dogs tore everything into pieces. They left the baina and burned the entire baina. So she heard it, she comes and cries, doesn’t say anything, just cries. She began to rummage through the ashes. She rummaged and rummaged, found a tooth from the devil and tied it in a knot. She doesn't say anything, she just cries. And he doesn't tell her anything. He already knows why my sister is like this – crying.
And then, of course, he began to say:
- Well, why are you so foggy, sister? It’s boring for you to live here - let’s go to some kingdom, we’ll live there, you’ll have more fun there. She agreed.
“Let’s go,” she said.
And so they went to hit. The nightingale, the bear, and also the male dogs followed the nim. And so they go, and they go, and they go, and they themselves don’t know where they are going. Nowhere do they come across any village or town, nothing to be seen. And then they saw - there was a small house.
- Come on, let's go in.
Of course they come to this house. So when they came to this house, and they looked, all the human scythes were all around the outside, there was nothing intact: arms, heads, legs, and something else had been dug up.
- Well, okay, okay, guys, let's go to the hut, whatever.
The bear goes forward, the nightingale flies behind him, and the male dogs run. They enter the hut and see a girl sitting and crying. He approached her and said:
- Why are you crying, beauty, whose are you and what state are you from, and why did you come here?
- How can I, good fellow, not cry? I was sent as a snake to be eaten. I had some kind of savior, but he disappeared.
“Don’t cry, beautiful princess, we will kill this snake, and there’s no need for you to cry.”
She, of course, was overjoyed and did not cry, and he said to his sister:
“Sit with her, console her so she doesn’t cry, and we’ll go to the lake.”
He takes his squad. So, of course, he went to the lake, sat down and looked: the water began to rise. She stood up six times, and on the seventh time a six-headed snake came out.
- Wow, what a king, he gave me a princess, and also some kind of animal, and well done here. Well, okay, now I'll have lunch! Ivan the merchant's son spoke to him:
- Yes, someone will have lunch, but not you.
The snake got angry.
- Come on, Misha and the nightingale, deal with him!
The nightingale rushed, pecked him - one head off. The bear has started walking, and the males are not far behind. They tore him into pieces - which they ate, which they let go to hell, scattered and finished off completely. He didn't touch it. The princess saw that it was good, she was saved. So he came to her.
“Here, beautiful princess, you are now freed.”
– I see that she has been released. Tell me, who are you?
- I am Ivan the merchant's son.
“Well, now, be you my husband,” and gives him his personalized ring. “Come to my feast, and then I will recognize you by this beast and by my ring.”
- OK. And I’ll stay here for another day, wait, and then see what happens.
And this one, who went to save, drove up to her and said:
- Well, if you don’t say now that I killed the snake, it will be bad for you.
- Okay, I’ll tell you how we went, but I don’t know him.
And so they went to the kingdom. And Ivan waited for a day, on the second day he came to the kingdom, to one of his grandmothers, and asked for an apartment. When they arrived, they had nothing to eat. He says:
- Well, guys, as if someone ran away, we still have a bread-salting tablecloth there, we should bring it, otherwise there’s nothing to eat.
Here the nightingale says:
“I would fly, I would fly soon, but it’s inconvenient for me to carry, there’s nowhere to hold it.”
Mishka says:
“I’ll go while you’re here and get it.”
And he went. He came running, and not only brought a tablecloth and bread-salter, but covered the entire table.
“It’s a pity,” he says, “to leave it there, whatever.”
And so they sat around this table and began to eat. Ivan says:
“Grandma, sit down with us and have lunch, you haven’t had such food before.”
Grandmother also sat down with him. We all had lunch.
“Today,” he says, “we’ll sleep together, and tomorrow we must go to the king’s ball.”
They slept through the night, he says; - Well, guys, now I'll go. Mishka says:
- Listen, take me with you.
“It’s okay, I’ll go alone, and if something happens, you’ll all come running.”
- Well, look, no matter how bad it is.
- Nothing.
And he went. And this one had a guard posted there. So he goes on his way, only he approaches the guards, they immediately recognized him, captured him, killed him and threw him out of the city. Nightingale guessed:
– You know what, we don’t have a living owner.
Now they ran into the city; they ran and ran, the people got scared, well, they couldn’t find him. So they ran out of town, and there he lay. The nightingale says: “Here, collect the pieces, and now I’ll fly off for living water and dead water.”
While they were collecting here, they put them in a pile, and the nightingale flew back. They collected the pieces, sprinkled them, and Ivan stood up.
- Yes, I slept for a long time!
“Well, Ivan the merchant’s son, now learn how to walk alone.”
- Yes, now I won’t go alone anymore. And says:
- Well, Misha, now the two of you and I will go, and you go home. What a case, then you, nightingale, will find out.
- Well, okay, two, it doesn’t matter.
They went. And they flew home, sat down to eat, and then my sister and grandmother were with him. They don't know, and the animals don't tell them anything. And when they walk, everyone looks, a bear and a man are walking. So the bear went to wave his paws, and so they came to the feast. The bear crawled under the table and is sitting there. And this savior is sitting with his bride. The bride casts a spell and thinks: “Why has Ivan the merchant’s son been away for so long?” And so Ivan sat down at the table, she carried around. He carries it around, it’s his turn. He drinks this glass and places the ring on her tray. She takes this ring in her hands and says:
- Well, father, let me now say a word.
- Well, daughter, tell me what?
“But,” he says, “father, what I’ll tell you.” Not my husband who is sitting next to me, but the one who gave me the ring. He killed the snake, and I gave him the ring. He has a sister and a squad - animals.
- Or maybe he’s not here, what kind of savior is he to you?
It was the one who was sitting next to her who spoke. Suddenly Ivan gets to his feet.
“You’re wrong, I’m here, although you killed me, I came to life and came here.”
A bear comes out.
- And here is the bear here, and the rest are probably at his house - this is the princess.
- Well, Misha, run, call everyone.
Now he ran away, and everyone came to the feast. And the guests look at them as if they were a miracle. Then the king said:
“Well, Ivan the merchant’s son, if you saved my daughter, sit in his place, and do with him whatever you want, your will.” And he said:
- Come on, Misha, take it.
The bear grabbed it, the nightingale flew up, wherever its nose blew, that was the end. The bear grabbed it with his paw - but it was wet. And they themselves went back to the feast. So, of course, they came to the feast; the feast lasted three days.
Ivan the merchant's son married the Tsar's daughter and received half the kingdom.
So he lives with her for a year. And this beast is with him, as before, and his sister lives with him. And one fine time he fell into bed with his wife, and they fell asleep soundly, and the room was hollow. And this sister, what came into her mind? She takes this damn tooth and drops it into his sleepy mouth, and he died. He died, then he’s gone – what to do? They kept him for a day, two of them, there was nothing to do with the dead man. He asked:
– How do you bury the dead according to your ritual? She replied:
- And here’s how they bury us. First they make a coffin, and then they put it in the coffin and stuff it with iron hoops around it. And then they will take you and throw you into the sea.
Well, of course, that's what they did. They took me and threw me into the sea. Well, the beast is worried:
- Where is our master? There is none. And so the nightingale says:
- You run on land, and I will fly on the sea.
And everyone went in different directions. And so they ran and ran and couldn’t find it anywhere. And the nightingale flew in and said:
“I found a coffin, it’s washed up on one island, let’s go quickly.”
And they, of course, set off by swimming across the sea, and soon arrived at this island. And now they took this coffin, tore everything off, opened it, they looked, it was lying there. So the nightingale looked and looked, and Mishka, and the males.
- Well, guys, you know what? We'll have to let one of us die from the artel. Here the sister did it out of spite. She gave him the devil's tooth, and whoever gets it will die. And who should die - let's draw lots from four.
And it was Mishka’s turn to pull the tooth out of his mouth.
“The problem is, how can I get my paw into my mouth now?”
Bear, let's run around the island. He ran and ran, caught a hare and brought it to the tomb and said:
- Come on, little bunny, your paw is narrow and crooked, take this tooth out of his mouth, then I’ll let you go.
Here's a hare - what to do? We have to do it. He pulled, took out the tooth, and Mishka let him go, and he ran away. The owner stood up.
- Fufu, how long have you been sleeping!
- Yes, for a long time, this is your sister. I lost your tooth and you died. They lowered you into a coffin and into the sea, and we found you.
- Well, thanks, guys. My sister won't do this again.
OK. Then he says:
- Well, guys, now get in, and you, nightingale, carry me. He sat on the nightingale and flew as if on an airplane. The wife cried - there was nothing to do. He sits with his father and looks out the window.
- Dad, look, it’s my husband who’s flying on the nightingale, there’s no one else.
- How can he, because we slowed him down.
- Yes, that’s right, he has such a squad, they delivered him, and that’s all.
“Don’t know, daughter, you see something in your eyes, it’s hard to believe.” But that’s right, that’s right – he’s flying.
He flies into the yard, but does not enter the hut. The king comes out, the princess comes out.
- Well, why don’t you, Ivan the merchant’s son, go to the hut?
- But until then I won’t go: call my sister here for a one-on-one conversation, I’ll ask her something, and then I’ll come in.
It’s clear that once they demand a sister, the sister comes out.
- Well, what do you want, brother?
- Oh, sister, you took revenge on me for the devil, you lost your tooth, well, I won’t forgive you anymore. Come on, nightingale, deal with her!
The nightingale twitched her nose, and she died. So he ordered a coffin to be made, and they buried her in the ground, as it should be, and not what she said. Suddenly his entire army comes running.
He comes into the house, brings in all his animals, gives them water and food.
The king gathered a feast; he, of course, told everything about how he left the house, how he traveled, and how his sister ruined him for the second time. Then he said to the nightingale and Mishka:
“Well, guys, if you want to live with me, then live, and if you don’t want to, then go, and if something happens, if you need me, I’ll take you.”
- Okay, then we'll go.
- And you, males, stay, such is the blessing of grandfather, live until I die, and then we’ll see.
Then he began to live and live with his princess, subsequently received the throne and began to rule the throne until he was very old.
