Death of Asha

Death of Asha
Enlight

There were four of them: Asha, Imys, Nasren Longbeard, Arykshu-nart. They were all related to the beautiful Powerful Satan. For many years, an ancient family lived as a united family. Who dares to touch the Narts? A fierce enemy with a sword will not pierce the chain mail of the Narts in battle, - he will recoil in fear, and wither like grass.

There was a rumor about the brave Asha, the Eldest among them: In competitions, Asha is the first, The first to drink the cup. Only Asha has grief, - In the intermarium there is an enemy, Korotysh-Tlebitsa is a vile, Strong, daring enemy. You can’t touch him with a complaint, You can’t catch him at a gallop, He stabs everyone - from young to old - with a lance. Whoever comes to him will die, He will come - trouble! And he steals away the herds, and kidnaps children and wives, and takes them captive. There are animals roaming everywhere. He burns the Nart dwellings, prowls through the courtyards. Finally the sledges gathered, set off on a campaign, drove the enemy overseas, and there he lives. They say that at Tlebitsa there are herds of mares, A rebellious black horse guards them, Gallops and tears the ground with its hoof, A mirror in its forehead. They say that once Asha, the Nart hero, jumped over the expanse of the sea to drive away the herds. But then the zealous horse, the black-maned horse, darted like a quick lightning, stood in front of Tlebitsa, He bridled him instantly, inserted an arrow into his bow. Cutting through the darkness, the Horseman and the horse rushed. We met Asha by the sea - We fought until dark. The Nart is destined to die on a foreign land - He swayed in the saddle, was wounded, and fell from his horse. But the Alps are faster than the wind - the Narts' horses - They are like the sea, like the highlands, like the expanse of the sky! The corpse was grabbed by a mighty horse, and flew away like a cloud... So he flew to the village - The horse carried the dead body. I saw the horse Sosruko: My friend is no longer alive! And Nasren and Imys are in grief, Only soon the heavy anger was replaced by despondency: “We will now take revenge!” They saddled the wild-maned ones, galloped off into the distance, They don’t feel sorry for themselves for revenge, It’s a matter of their honor to find their friend’s killer, to repay the death! No matter how far the road is, you can’t turn away from it!
