In ancient times, Gtsau, the agama lizard, was a man of the ancient people. One day Gtsau set out on a journey; he wanted to cross the mountains.
And so he walked and sang:
I'm going to cross Ghuru-tsna
Along the gorge
And then
I'm going to get over
Through Gtse-gtsvai
Along the gorge.
I'm going to get over
Through Ghuru-tsna
Along the gorge.
I'm going to get over
Through Gtse-gtsvai
Along the gorge.
But when he passed the mountains, thinking to jump over them, the mountains grabbed him and broke him. And so the front part of his body overturned and stopped - it turned into Mount Gkhuru-tsna, and the back part overturned, stopped and turned into Mount Gtse-gtsvai.
