A coal miner went into the forest, he was going to burn coal*, and a bear comes towards him, leading a wild boar.

The bear saw the coal miner and said:

- Dear man, I’m hungry, I’ll eat you.

The coal miner answers the bear:

- What can I do, dear bear, I won’t resist - there are two of you, and I’m alone. But you should let me have lunch before I die.

He had pork sausage and bread with him. He sat down, was eating, and threw a piece of sausage to the bear. The bear caught it in flight, ate it and said:

- Wow! Where do such roots grow?

The coal miner answers:

“I would say, but I don’t dare.”

And the bear to him:

- Tell me, don’t be afraid!

The coal miner posted:

— These roots are made from wild boar.

The bear grabbed the boar, lifted it up and told the coal miner:

- Give me the same roots!

And the coal miner said to him:

“My dear, for such a thing you need fire and pots.” And I should wash my face so that you don’t disdain to eat.

The bear agreed. The coal miner has washed himself, but has nothing to dry himself with, so he asks the bear:

- Let me rub myself against your skin.

A bear approached him and the coal miner wiped himself off.

The fox, the bear's godfather, ran to get the pots, and the wolf, the bear's nephew, lit a fire. Well, the coal miner split a large beech log from the end, stuck a wedge into it and said to the bear:

“You are the strongest among us, put your paws into the crevice, help me split the log.”

The wolf warned the bear:

“You, uncle, keep an eye out for him, you cunning rogue coal miner, make sure he doesn’t harm you.”

But the bear did not listen to him, he was very impatient to quickly feast on the pork roots. As soon as the bear put his paws in, the coal miner knocked out the wedge, and the bear’s paws were pinched. The bear yelled:

- Oh, it stings, oh, it stings!

And the coal miner says:

- Just wait, brother, help me!

He grabbed the bear by the tail and hit the butt of it along the tail, along the tail.

The wolf looked, looked and said:

- Oh, uncle, you didn’t listen to me, I told you that he was a scoundrel. Look, this will work for me too.

He said and ran. And towards him is a fox with pots. She saw what it was like for a bear to eat, threw the pots and - God bless her legs.

So the coal miner got the whole boar.
