For a long time, cats and crows have been considered sworn enemies. And this is why it happened.
There lived one crow in the world. How passionately she loved to carry all sorts of things and hide them in a secluded place. She hides it, and then she can’t find it herself. This made the crow very upset. So she went to the cat for advice.
“Help me, cat,” she began to ask. “Why can’t I find my goodness?”
“Tell me, crow, where are you hiding what you stole?” asked the cat.
- ABOUT! - exclaimed the crow. - I’m hiding it in the safest place! Under the clouds! I see a beautiful cloud floating, I notice it and under it somewhere in the bushes I leave my goods.
- What a stupid crow you are! - the cat laughed. - Don’t you know that clouds don’t stand still, but float across the sky! A cloud floated by and that was it! If you spot your hiding places in the clouds, you will never find anything!
The crow thought and said:
- Don't fool me! Where else do the clouds go? You, cat, came up with all this in order to get my goods yourself!
So she didn’t believe the smart cat. As before, she hid the stolen things under the clouds.
The animals learned about the crow’s stupidity and began to laugh at it:
- Well, you killed us, crow!
- I found a place - under the floating clouds! The crow became even more angry with the cat.
“I thought you were my friend,” she grumbled. “And you went and told everyone where I keep my property.”
Since then, the crow's friendship with the cat has broken down. Now a crow flies around the world and shouts at the top of its lungs: “Cat, give me back my property!”
