Once upon a time a poor nomadic gypsy ended up in a small village. I started going from house to house, telling fortunes and begging. She has to feed the children somehow; she is left without a husband.
“And why are you still wondering and tormenting yourself,” one village woman sympathized with her, “you should go to Grandma Dusya, our sorceress, they say she has disputes, ask her, she is a kind woman.” She will help you.
– What kind of arguers are these? – asked the gypsy.
“Go,” the woman answered her, “you’ll see for yourself.” The gypsy woman went to grandma Dusya. He enters the hut and sees: there is no grandmother, and two tiny girls with pigtails and horns on their heads are sitting on a bench and they are weaving a rope from hemp. The gypsy took this rope in her hands, but it fell apart.
- Who are you? – the gypsy asks the girls.
- We are contenders! - they answer. - We are helping grandma!
And at that moment grandma Dusya comes in. When she saw the gypsy, she waved her hand, and immediately the contestants disappeared.
- Lend me your wranglers! - asks the gypsy. - Give them to me, you live alone anyway, and I travel everywhere, poor, without a husband, and there are plenty of children. The contestants will help me do my job. I'll pay you for them. I won't regret anything.
“No,” Grandma Dusya does not agree, “I need them myself, because I would be lost without them too.” And I will help your grief. Come live with me. Here we go; both will argue and will help them live their lives.
Since then, the nomadic gypsy settled down and lived richly.
