Cause of sadness

Cause of sadness

One morning Mulla Nasreddin walked through the bazaar very sad. A friend asked him:

- What happened? Nasreddin replied:

- Don’t ask! I'm so sad and depressed that I could cry.

- But what's the matter? - the friend insisted. - We have never seen you so sad! You have had so many difficulties, financial and otherwise, but we have never seen you so sad and depressed. What's happened?

Nasreddin said:

“Two weeks ago one of my uncles died and left me one hundred thousand dinars.

Friend said:

-Are you, Nasreddin, crazy? If your uncle left you such an inheritance, you should be happy, not sad!

Nasreddin replied:

- Yes, that's true. But last week my other uncle died, and he left me two hundred thousand dinars.

“Then you are completely out of your mind,” said the man. ——You need to dance and have fun, because there is no reason to be unhappy! You are the happiest and richest person in this city!

“Yes, I know that,” said Nasreddin, “but I don’t have any uncles anymore!” This is what makes me sad.
