Cause of extremes

Tzu-Yu and Tzu-Sang were friends. One day it rained nonstop for ten days in a row. Tzu-Yu said: “Lest Tzu-San gets sick!” He gathered some food and went to visit a friend. Approaching Tzu-Sang's house, he heard either singing or crying. It was the owner who sang, playing along with himself on the zither:

- Oh, father! Oh mother! Is it heaven? Is it a man?

The singer's voice trembled, the words were crumpled.

- Why did you sing so strangely? - asked Tzu-Yu, entering the house.

“I was looking for the one who brought me to this extreme, and could not find him,” answered Tzu-Sang. “Could my father and mother wish me such poverty?” The sky impartially covers, and the earth impartially supports all things. Could they really wish such poverty on me alone? I looked for who did this and couldn't find it. It turns out that what brought me to such an extreme was fate!
