One Sufi was stoned to death for calling himself God, and he was taken to heaven. Some time later, the man who witnessed the death of the Sufi died and went to heaven. Seeing a Sufi there, he became indignant and asked God:
- Why is this man here in heaven, and the Pharaoh, who said the same thing as him, is in hell?
To which the Lord replied:
— Pharaoh, claiming that he was God, meant himself, and when the Sufi called himself God, he thought about me.
