Once upon a time there was a cat. In his youth, he was useful to his owners - he caught mice, played with children. And when the cat got old, the owners decided to kill him. Having learned this, the cat ran away and came into the forest at night. Suddenly he smelled the pleasant smell of meat. Soon the cat found a hole where the meat lay, feasted on it and lay down on a soft bed of dry leaves, purring with pleasure. He lay calmly, only his mustache moved menacingly.
And this was a fox hole. When the fox returned, she saw a scary, unfamiliar beast. He growled and moved Usami menacingly.
- What a miracle! - exclaimed the fox. “I’ve been living in the world for many years, but I’ve never met such a monster.” It’s better to get away from trouble,” and the frightened fox rushed away.
A fox runs through the forest, and a wolf meets her.
- What's wrong with you, fox?
- Well, a terrible beast, apparently very dangerous, climbed into my hole. He growls menacingly and moves his mustache. How can you not run away here!
“Come on, come with me, I’ll kill this uninvited guest,” said the wolf, and they turned back.
They came closer to the hole, and then the wolf saw the cat for the first time. The cat’s eyes glow with green fire, his whiskers move menacingly, and he growls terribly: “Mrr-mrr!”
- What a beast! - exclaimed the wolf. “I have never seen anything like this.” Come on, fox, let's run away while we're still alive.
They rushed to their heels and met a bear.
- What happened to you? Tell me,” the bear said importantly.
The wolf and the fox told him about the terrible beast.
- Nonsense! - exclaimed the bear. “I’ll drive him away right away.” Lead me quickly.
They approached the fox hole. The wolf and the fox huddle to the side, and the bear stuck its muzzle directly into the hole. The cat growled terribly and grabbed the bear's nose with its claws. The bear screamed and started running, followed by the fox and the wolf.
Animals are running, and a wild boar meets them.
- Why are you running? Who scared you so much?
- Trouble happened, trouble. A terrible beast settled in the fox hole, they tried to drive it away, but it was too ferocious. He even attacked a bear.
The boar looked at the bear's bloody muzzle and said:
“Don’t worry, I’ll drive the monster away in an instant, lead me.”
And all four turned back. In front was a boar, behind him was a fox, behind the fox was a wolf, and last of all was a bear, shaking its swollen muzzle.
The boar looked into the hole and saw a terrible beast: its eyes were burning, its mustache was moving and it was growling: “Mrr-mrr!” The cat grabbed the boar's nose with its sharp claws and hissed angrily. The boar squealed like a pig and began to run, followed by the rest of the animals.
Finally they stopped and began to think about how to get rid of the terrible guest.
Lisa suggested:
- Let's pretend that we have reconciled with him. Let's invite him to visit, give him something to drink, feed him and kill him.
The animals agreed, but no one wanted to go and invite the guest. They argued and argued and decided to send the fox - after all, she is the most cunning in the world, and she can also speak sweetly. Meanwhile, the wolf got food, the bear got firewood, and the boar started cooking. When everything was ready, the fox went after the guest. Other animals were afraid of meeting the cat and hid somewhere - a wolf in the bushes, a bear in a tree, and a wild boar in a warm puddle.
Soon the cat and the fox came and began to feast.
Suddenly a faint rustling sound was heard in the bushes. “Isn’t this a mouse?” - thought the cat and instantly jumped into the bushes where the wolf was hiding. Out of surprise, the wolf got scared, screamed and started running, followed by a bear, a boar, and a fox. They ran for a long time, and when they stopped, they began to think what to do.
“Let’s get away from this dangerous beast,” said the wolf. “After all, he won’t let us live.”
“That’s right,” the bear supported him.
“Maybe we’ll find out what he’s up to,” suggested
boar
And they sent the fox to see what the terrible beast was doing. Meanwhile, the cat finished lunch and washed himself. And the fox sees - once he ran his paw over his face, then another. Suddenly the cat heard a branch crunch and looked in that direction. This was enough for the fox to run away.
In fright, she ran to the animals and said:
- Our affairs are bad. The cat wiped his mouth, saying that he had dealt with two of them and the fate of the rest would not be better. And at the same time he looked at me very expressively.
And then the animals ran in all directions. And now they are running, but the cat remains in the fox’s hole and lives there happily.
