Bookseller and pharmacist

One day, a pharmacist went into the shop of his neighbor, a bookseller. Seeing a new book on the counter, he asked:

– Tell me, venerable sir, is it worth reading this book? Will this be of any use?

“Forgive me, my dear,” responded the bookseller, “but I haven’t read it myself yet.”

The pharmacist was surprised:

– How can you, dear sir, offer books that you haven’t read yourself?!

“I didn’t even know, my dear,” answered the bookseller, “that you take all the medicines you sell!”
