One day the doctor learned from bird gossip that the Sultan’s son was terminally ill. Nobody is able to help him because people do not know the cure for this disease. But the birds themselves know very well that an infusion of grass, which everyone considers a weed, helps against this disease.
The doctor listened to the recipe, made an infusion and hurried to the palace. He made it just in time, and the heir to the throne was saved. The Sultan thanked him generously.
Among the doctor's acquaintances there was one unworthy and envious person. He begged the sage so much to reveal the secret of enrichment that he could not stand it and told everything. The unworthy man began to pray to God and ask for the same gift as from a doctor. And a miracle happened - he also began to understand the language of birds!
One day he was sitting under a tree and listening to bird chatter. Suddenly one bird said:
“There’s an unworthy man sitting downstairs!” He asked for the gift of understanding us in order to learn all the secrets. Well, here's one of our secrets: we called a hungry tiger from the forest here so that he could finally eat him!
