Many years ago there lived a huge eagle that devoured people and did not allow them to live on earth. One day, a man decided to fight the animal and put an end to this oppression.
To do this, he went out into the open, armed with a knife, protecting his chest with a rope wrapped around it.
Seeing him, the eagle rushed at him and grabbed him, lifting him into the air and bringing him to his home in a cave on a mountain peak. During the flight, the man saw the whole world.
Having flown into the cave, the eagle threw the man to the floor and looked into his eyes to make sure he was dead. He, however, did not die, as the rope protected him. The eagle went to look at his chicks, and soon returned to where he had left his prey, and looked into his eyes again.
Then the man suddenly stood up and, seizing the large bone of some man whom the eagle had devoured earlier, began to beat him forcefully on the head until he killed him. Seeing him dead, he destroyed his chicks and his eggs. It so happened that he managed to destroy the eagle that was devouring people.
The man then took his knife, cut off the eagle's wings, and, fastening them firmly to his hands, tried to fly, until at last he learned to control the wings and gathered the strength to do so.
At first he began to fly around the cave, and after that he rose into the sky; he traveled over the world until he found his village. Then he began to descend, shouting to his people so that they would not kill him, because he was not an eagle that was descending, but a man.
When he met his comrades, they helped him get rid of his wings, and he told them about his extraordinary adventure.
