Karabatir-Zane and his marriage.
On the seashore there was a fortified city in which was Prince Karabatir-Zane, a handsome and stately young man. He was famous for his intelligence and heroic strength. Zaie had already reached adulthood, and the old men of this village decided among themselves to marry the prince. They told the prince what was the matter. Zane, of course, is not averse to getting married, but there is no suitable bride nearby. Then the prince ordered the horse to be saddled, armed himself with shining armor and went to the neighboring kingdom-states to look for a bride. Our horseman traveled from one country to another, looked into the royal chambers and under the thatched roofs of village houses; He made inquiries through others, but nowhere was there a bride he liked. Finally, in a distant land, in a castle where he was staying, he found such a beauty as had never been seen in the world; her name was Elena. As soon as he saw the beautiful Zane, his heart burned with love. Then the prince asked Elena if she would like to become his wife, to which she agreed.
The time came and they got married. Having got married, they went to the city where Zane reigned. Upon arrival in Calais with his young wife, Zane called people close to him, and fun began in the castle. They feasted one day, feasted another. Time passed quickly, and the prince and princess did not notice how two weeks had passed. There was a custom in this country: after two weeks, each newlywed had to leave his wife for a whole year and go traveling to foreign lands. Zane also had to fulfill the folk custom. No matter how difficult the separation was, he was forced to submit to the age-old customs of the people.
Karabatir left to travel with heavy thoughts, consumed by longing for the young wife he had abandoned.
A month, or even two, passed when a merchant, a young man of extraordinary beauty, arrived in the prince’s capital from the overseas city of Shahar, located not far from present-day Istanbul. Arriving with his ship on the shore, he began to unload the goods he had brought, which had never been seen in this country: silks, precious vessels and multi-colored stones. Having unloaded his goods, he asked where he could camp with them. They pointed him to the princely house. A visiting guest headed there. Entering the house, he asked to report to the hostess about his request. The princess was informed, and she agreed to show him hospitality, saying: “The prince, however, has left, but his house stands still, and the gates are open to the guest: let him come!” A handsome merchant stopped in the house, laid out his goods, and people began to flock from all over the city to admire the fine fabrics and shiny stones. Throughout the city there is only talk about the beauty of the merchant and the rare qualities of his goods. And the princess did not remain indifferent to the extraordinary beauty and friendliness of the visiting guest. She began to invite him to her palace, asked him about foreign lands and found pleasure in conversations with him. For his part, the merchant also felt an irresistible attraction to the lonely woman; He spent all his free time with her, and it is not surprising that he charmed her with his beauty and flattering speeches. The rapprochement became closer and closer and finally turned into a criminal relationship. The merchant had been staying in the princely house for six months already. Time flies by for lovers, the time for the husband's return is getting closer and closer, and with mental anxiety they think about the upcoming separation. The merchant assures Elena that he cannot live without her, and Elena feels the same. Together they come up with all sorts of ways to never be separated again, but nothing comes to mind. However, what the lovers could not come up with was invented by the unautka, the confidant of all the princess’s secrets. One day she made the bed for a guest. Always cheerful, the merchant stood thoughtfully and did not start a conversation with her, as usual.
- Why are you, dear guest, standing there sad and hanging your head? – asked the unautka.
“You know,” said the merchant, “how much I love the princess: I can’t live without her!” Help me somehow with my grief!
Unautka thought for a moment, and then said with alarm:
- How can I help you? What will happen to me when our prince returns?
“Help me, dahae, I’ll give you everything I own: expensive fabrics and colorful stones!”
“What is the use of wealth when life is taken away,” answered the unautka.
“In that case, I will make sure that no one knows about your wealth: I will order a hole to be dug in the yard and I will take all the expensive things there; From this pit I will order you to make an underground passage with a secret door to your room. This way you will be rich and no one will suspect you!
The maid expressed her consent and promised to cooperate in every possible way with his idea - to take possession of her mistress. She conspired with him about the details of Elena’s abduction: the merchant was supposed to wait on a boat in the depths of the bay under the cover of coastal bushes; she will go to this place with her mistress to swim in the sea, he should, as if by chance, drive up and invite her for a ride, everything else is his business...
Elena's kidnapping.
On the appointed day, the princess and her daughter left the house, went down from the high bank to the sea and, throwing off her clothes, began to swim. Not knowing anything about the conspiracy, she carefreely frolicked with her maid in the waves splashing near the shore, when suddenly her beloved merchant appeared next to her, on his light boat. The princess was stunned by the unexpected meeting and wanted to rush to the shore, but the merchant dear to her heart chained her to the spot with his flattering speeches:
- Let's go for a ride, dear Elena; Let's look for coolness in the shade of a coastal grove!
The princess agreed and sat down with her sweetheart in the boat; the light craft flew like an arrow across the swaying surface of the sea and headed not towards the coastal grove, but towards the merchant’s ship standing with raised sails. Only then did she guess the guest’s intentions!
For several moments Elena seemed to hesitate: on the one hand, it was hard for her to leave her native land and the people close to her, but, on the other, she was irresistibly attracted by her love for the handsome merchant and the mysterious distance of the sea. After a moment of struggle with herself, she threw herself into the arms of her beloved. The ship, having taken on an expensive burden, went out to the open sea.
The maid saw the kidnapping of her mistress, but, knowing that everything was happening according to the agreement, and having received an expensive payment for it, she did not call for help from the people who were on the shore. And it would be in vain to call: the ship was barely visible at the edge of the sky.
Returning to the house, she locked herself in the princess’s rooms. When asked where the lady was, she answered that the princess was unwell and therefore could not go out; Nevertheless, she ate the food sent to the imaginary sick woman herself. In this way she hid the princess’s absence for three days. After three days, she began to wring her hands in despair and hit her chest, frantically screaming that her dear mistress was gone: had she fled with a visiting guest across the sea? Only now everyone guessed about Elena’s escape. True, many saw the departure of the ship, but no one paid attention to it. And who in a seaside town would be surprised by this: you never know how many ships come there and leave from there almost every day in all directions!
All residents are in terrible excitement. The prince will soon return; what will they tell him when he asks where his young wife is? Everyone reproaches themselves for not saving his beautiful wives!
At first, no one wanted to believe that their proud princess ran away with the merchant; It seemed more likely to everyone that she had gotten lost somewhere in the outskirts of the city. Messengers fly in all directions, and boats scurry along all the banks to find the missing Elena - but all in vain! Finally, after a long search, the real reason for the disappearance of the princess became clear to everyone.
The long-awaited day has arrived: Karabatir-Zaie has arrived. The prince is met by his faithful people, taken to the kunatskaya and given him food and drinks. Upon arrival, he was struck by the fact that instead of greetings and cries of joy, he was greeted by dull and sad faces. The prince’s heart sensed trouble, but custom did not allow him to rush to the princess’s half, where he was eager with all the thoughts of his soul. The sun was already setting when the prince ordered to be taken to the palace of his young wife, for whom he had yearned for a year of separation. Despite the order, people do not move and stand in sullen silence. Impatiently, Zane again orders him to behave towards his wife. Then those of his servants who were braver gathered the courage to report to their master that his young wife had disappeared to an unknown location... How this news struck Karabatir-Zaie like thunder; his heart sank with pain, and, without even looking into the empty house, he immediately decided to go in search of his wife.
There was no corner of his domain where the inconsolable Zane would not look. But all in vain: Elena, his beloved wife, is nowhere to be found!
Having spent a lot of time on useless searches, the prince wanted to return home; but on the way he remembered that his father’s atalyk lived somewhere not far away. Having learned exactly about his place of residence, he sent his horse there. Arriving at the house, he saw an old man, bent in years, with a long gray beard, sitting on a rubble. Leaning on a gnarled stick, the old man looked with his intelligent eyes at the approaching horseman. Now the old man recognized his pet’s son. He respectfully greeted the prince, brought him under his roof and ordered the servants to bring what God had sent to treat his dear guest. They began to talk about this and that, and from the very first words of the elder Zane, he realized that rumors about the disappearance of the princess had reached this remote area. Then Zane decided to immediately get down to business and told him about his useless search.
“It’s in vain,” said the old man, “they consider you such a smart person: it’s clear that your intelligence does not correspond to your courage!” Why are you looking for a wife in your domain? Could she hide somewhere on your land? Don’t waste your time and go overseas without hesitation – to foreign lands! Listen to all kinds of rumors: the more beautiful a woman is, the more talk about her. You look for a year, you look for two: maybe you’ll find it!
The prince understood the truth of the old man’s words. He returned home and began to prepare for the upcoming journey, deciding to get Elena even from the bottom of the sea!
Search for Elena.
Karabatir-Zane equipped the ship and went out to the open sea. He sailed for more than one day or two, but the opposite shore was still not visible. Finally, after a long swim, mountains appeared in the distance. Zane was delighted, hoping in this overseas country to learn something about his missing wife; He began to look around for a safe bay where he could direct his ship, when he suddenly noticed another ship coming towards him. On the deck of this ship stood a young man, his face was femininely beautiful; his chest was covered with a shiny armor, a quiver of arrows stuck out behind his shoulders, he held a bow in his right hand, a saber was hung at his side, and a steel helmet sparkled on his head. And our prince stood on the deck in armor and a cone, and on his chest was a sign of princely dignity - a bronze medallion. As soon as the young man learned from this sign that a pshi was traveling on the oncoming ship, he rushed from the ship into the boat and in a few strokes of the oars found himself at the ship Karabatyr-Zane. After mutual greetings, the young man asked Zane:
-Where are you going, psha?
– I’m going wherever my eyes take me!
- How come you don’t have a comrade with you, with whom you could share all the difficulties of the journey and while away the time in conversations? Do you want me to be your friend?
Pshi happily agreed and, deciding to set off on a further journey together, moored to a nearby shore with his comrade.
Coming ashore, they saw the white walls of the city not far from the sea. They headed there and after a short time entered the city gates without hindrance. Entering the city, they turned right into an alley and, passing the first house, stopped at the next house. Having rested a little from the journey, Pshi told his friend about the purpose of his journey.
“I’m looking for a wife who was kidnapped by a merchant,” said the prince, “if I don’t find her here, I’ll go to other cities, or even to the ends of the world!”
- How do you hope to find out about your wife?
I’ll ask everyone I meet, maybe from someone else, and I’ll find out!
- So you won’t know anything! It’s better to do this: you’ll dress like a beggar, and in rags you’ll have access everywhere; when asking for alms, you will look into places where no one is allowed; no one is shy in front of a beggar; a beggar can discover the deepest secrets without asking.
Zane liked the idea of his comrade. He decided to change his clothes as soon as possible. For this purpose, the young man went to the city, which, apparently, was familiar to him from his previous visits, obtained two bags, rags, a stick to protect himself from dogs, and soon, instead of a brilliant horseman, a hunched beggar appeared, stretching out his hand for alms.
Having left the inn, Pshi began his walk from the next street. Our beggar tirelessly wanders around all the nooks and crannies, looks into all the corners of both rich palaces and poor huts, finding out what he needs, and in order not to arouse suspicion, he throws everything that is given to him, first into one bag, then into another.
Our beggar did not miss, as it seemed, a single house; nothing escaped his watchful eye. However, his search was unsuccessful. Our beggar lost heart and with despair in his soul returned to his waiting companion.
- Well? Found it? - the young man asks him.
“She’s nowhere to be found: I haven’t missed a single house!”
“Have you been to that rich palace next to us, on our street?”
It turned out that he was not there. Without hesitation, our beggar, hunched over in three arcs, hobbled down the street, tapping his stick. Approaching the gate, he asks to enter the palace. The guards let him in without hindrance. With his hand outstretched, he makes his way from room to room. Everywhere he is generously endowed; he boldly ascends to the second tier of the palace and in a secluded room, luxuriously decorated and richly decorated, he sees the mistress of the house lounging on an ottoman and giving orders to her servants. But what was his surprise when he recognized Elena in the beautiful hostess! And she recognized him immediately. But she did not greet her husband with joy: her eyes flashed angrily; in a loud voice she ordered the servants to drive away the annoying beggar and even threw a broom at him!
The beggar was shamefully pushed out of the luxurious chambers and driven out of the yard. Hanging his head dejectedly, he trudged to his companion to tell him how he found Elena and how joylessly she greeted him.
- What should I do now, friend? Just think about it: you’ll probably come up with something! – Zane, heartbroken, begged.
– Now throw off this mask, now you need to get Elena with weapons in your hands!
Fight over Elena.
The brave heart of Karabatir-Zane responded to the bold call of his companion. The dirt from the beggar's face was washed away, the rags flew to his feet, his whole figure instantly straightened up, and not a few minutes passed before a stately young man in chain mail, a cone and with a saber in his hands emerged from the hunched eta-rikashka.
- Well, now there’s no time to waste! - exclaimed the companion. – Rescue Elena with weapons in your hands, and I will hold back the pressure of the guards and cover your retreat! We must go ahead: either we will get it today, or we will lay down our heads here!
Having decided so, both horsemen burst into the gates of the house. The puzzled guards did not dare to resist them. Karaba-tyr quickly rushes up the stairs, while his companion remains on the lower platform. With his powerful hand, Karabatir overturns the warriors restraining him, pushes three timid enemies down the steps of the stairs with one blow and, bursting into the tower familiar to him, grabs the unconscious Elena; with an expensive burden, he rushes to the gates of the house. Having recovered from the unexpected attack, the people rush from everywhere towards the brave knights; but both horsemen do not lose heart; Karabatyr, holding Elena with his left hand, fights off the soldiers attacking him with his right, and his companion, cutting right and left, covers the retreat of his comrade. Thus, our heroes, despite the clouds of arrows rushing at them and hundreds of enemies pressing on all sides, retreat slowly to the seashore, where the ship is waiting for them. They safely reached the ship and were ordered to quickly set sail from the shore. The wind was fair, and the ship rushed smoothly across the sea. The warriors continued to fire from the deck, firing their arrows one after another, bringing certain death into the dense crowd of enemies.
Death of Elena.
Zane sails across the sea with Elena, whom he obtained in a bloody struggle, accompanied by his comrade. After several days, they began to slowly approach their native shore. They were already not far from the city when Zane addressed his companion with the following words:
- Now we are close to the shore. I hope you will not refuse to stay with me: I would like to thank you in a worthy manner for your friendly service.
“I won’t go to you, urgent matters call me home.” You can thank me only by sharing our spoils with me,
- Why share? Take her for yourself: I can’t live with her anyway!
- No, we have to divide it in half! - Having said these words, the companion struck Elena with a saber and cut her in half...
At the first moment Zane was struck with horror; he never expected such an outcome. Nevertheless, he did not feel sorry for the woman he had previously loved: to such an extent did her betrayal make his pride suffer! Zane said in a firm voice:
- I'll take Elena's head. When I return to my city, I will show it to the people! Let everyone know that their prince did not return empty-handed and that the unfaithful wife suffered a well-deserved punishment!
Hearing these words, the companion lifted Elena's torso and threw it into the sea. Getting into his ship, he said to Karabatir:
- Goodbye, Zane! True, you lost Elena, but she cheated on you and would never have been a faithful wife to you. As a consolation, I’ll tell you that the seven Barakhunov brothers have a sister: she will be your lifelong friend!
Sister of the Barakhunovs.
Upon returning home, Zane announced to everyone about the death of Elena and ordered to show her head to the people. Having come to terms with his loss, he decided to set off on a journey to find the seven Barakhunov brothers. There was no country throughout the continent where Zane was not looking for them. Having made sure that he could not find them on the mainland, Karabatir boarded a ship and set off to look for them across all seas. Zane drove along and across Kara-Tengiz, and then decided to explore the entire Ak-Tengiz.
On this sea there was a large island, to which Zane landed. Having landed on the shore, the prince began to ask if the Barakhunov brothers lived there. It turned out that they really live on this island. Then Zane mounted his horse and headed to the nearby town. Entering the city gates, he asked the first person he met where he could look for the Barakhunov brothers. They pointed him to the palace. The prince knocked at the gate: they let him in, and he entered the prince's tower. The brothers greeted him very cordially, although they did not know what kind of person he was or where he was from, but judging by the sign on his chest, they guessed that he was pshi.
After dinner, Zane was put to a soft bed. The next morning, the brothers, fully assembled, met their guest and, according to the customs of the country, only then decided to ask him what kind of person he was and where he came from. Then Pshi told them that Karabatyr-Zane had come to seek the hand of their sister. Hearing this, the six elder brothers said nothing and lowered their eyes sadly. The younger brother looked cheerfully at Zane and, after waiting for some time, addressed the older brothers with reproach.
- Why are you silent, brothers? The guest is waiting for your response.
Then the eldest of the brothers decided to say in a dissatisfied voice:
“Our sister has heroic strength; she is not only proud, but also cruel. None of us will dare to inform her about your matchmaking; and none of us would dare cross the threshold of her mansion!
Hearing this, the younger brother said:
“I may die, but I am ready to sacrifice myself for the sake of our dear guest!” Now I'll go report to her about your proposal!
Having said this, the youngest of the Barakhunovs went to his sister’s tower, but Zane shouted after him:
- Just tell your sister that I want to see her so that I can convey my request to her personally!
The youngest of the Barakhunovs, entering his sister, said to her boldly:
“Sister, Karabatir-Zane has been visiting us since yesterday and wants to see you.” What will be your answer?
- Let the prince come in! - Barakhunova answered. The youngest of the Barakhunovs was inexpressibly happy and flew like an arrow to Karabatyr-Zane. Beaming with happiness, he informed him of his sister's decision. And the older brothers were unusually glad that their proud sister, to whom no one dared to propose, fearing her heroic strength and tough temperament, apparently softened.
Karabatir-Zane instantly got ready and went to the tower of the proud princess. When Zane entered, Princess Barakhunova, who stood in front of no one and whom no one even dared to approach, rose from her ottoman and, when Zane came closer, even extended her hand to him. Then Zane, becoming bolder, said:
“Having heard, princess, about your beloved beauty, I came to offer you my hand and heart.” Do you want to be my wife?
Without answering a word, the princess turned away. Then Zane decided to ask her the same question again. And then she didn’t answer, turning away even more than before. Finally, to Karabatir’s third question, the proud beauty said quickly:
- I agree to everything!
Hearing the desired answer, Zane, beside himself with joy, rushed out of the princess’s mansion. His brothers were waiting for him in the courtyard, and when they heard about their sister’s decision, they ordered the good news to be immediately announced to the people: their inaccessible sister, whom the suitors did not even dare to approach, softened her temper and chose Karabatir-Zane as her husband.
Wedding celebrations.
The wedding day was set. On this day, each of the brothers ordered to slaughter a bull, a cow and a sheep. A crowd of people gathered, apparently and invisibly, and there was a feast for the whole world. During the general merriment, the singer appeared and settled down among the feasting guests. Taking the apeshina in his hands, the singer began to sing the native true story of the people; everyone listened with attention. Then the singer ran his hand over the ringing note and began to hum a song about how an overseas merchant took his beautiful wife away from the mansion of the powerful Psha.
Zane immediately guessed who this song was about, but the brothers and the singer himself did not know that it referred to him. Zane hung his head sadly, and tears rolled down his face. Noticing that this song made a difficult impression on the guest, the brothers ordered the singer to sing another.
The singer struck the strings again and began to sing about how much blood was shed because of Elena when her deceived husband began to kill her with weapons in his hands. Zane hung his head even more: it became even harder for him because his fate became the property of folk singers.
Seeing that the singer’s new song also inspired gloomy thoughts on Karabatyr-Zane, the kind hosts invited the guests to have fun, according to the customs of the country, with competitions and games. A crowd of guests who had been having fun poured out of the hall into the vast courtyard. At a sign, the youth started games and began to test their brave strength in wrestling: some fought in fist fights, some lifted weights, others showed their dexterity in running. Then they began shooting at the target with a bow. Finally, they began to compete to see who would throw the stone further. Zane watched everything silently, not taking part in the competition. Seeing this, the guests addressed him with the following words:
- Dear guest! You didn't want to take part in our games. Now we are throwing stones; Please show me your dexterity!
Awakening from his reverie, Zane hastened to answer:
– Can I refuse the request of all the guests! I'm ready to try my hand at throwing stones!
With these words, Karabatir-Zane picked up a heavy stone from the ground and threw it with a swing three times further than the most dexterous of the guests could throw.
Everyone was speechless with surprise, standing motionless in place. When the guests somewhat came to their senses, they began vying with one another to praise the heroic strength of Zane.
“Yes, even if we exercised our strength for a hundred years, we would never be able to compare with you!”
This ended the wedding celebrations. When the guests went home, the only talk in the city was about the extraordinary power of Karabatyr-Zane. Stars poured out in the sky, and it was already completely dark when Zane was taken to the mansion of his young wife, where they were put to bed.
Night adventures of Barakhunova.
It was already deep night. Zane could not sleep, as he noticed some kind of nervous excitement in his young wife. Wanting to find out the reason for this, he pretended to be asleep and began to snore heavily. Nevertheless, he carefully watched all his wife’s movements.
To his surprise, she gets out of bed and, holding a lamp in her hands, goes into the hall adjacent to the bedroom. Zane follows his wife with his eyes. In the hall, she opens a chest and takes out a shell, a cone, a saber and a bow with a quiver filled with arrows. With her usual hand, she puts on her armor and hides her golden braid under the cone. A real knight with a warlike posture appears before Zane’s surprised gaze. Fully armed, she goes down into the yard, goes to the stable, takes her horse out of there and, having saddled him, quickly jumps on him. Once on his steed, the mysterious knight prances across the rocky courtyard, and then, striking his horse with a whip, rushes like an arrow through the open gate into the darkness of the dead of night.
Karabatir-Zane saw all this; without hesitation, he jumps out of bed, puts on his weapons, mounts his horse and rushes after his wife, watching her at some distance. In the darkness of the night, she did not notice the rider riding on her heels.
Whether it was a long or short journey, they found themselves in a deep ravine, where a detachment of armed men had already gathered. Unnoticed by anyone, Zane mingled with the crowd and began to observe what was happening.
A raid was being launched on a neighboring city, and the whole affair, as it turned out, was led by his wife. Having discussed the plan of action together, everyone settled on the following decision: in the event of a successful raid, they must load the horses with the stolen goods, while their leader, with his heroic hand, will hold back the pressure of the enemies. In the meantime, they will have time to hide with the loot in a safe place.
No sooner said than done. At the appointed hour, a crowd of armed men bursts into the city, mercilessly chops down the sleepy inhabitants, robs whatever valuable items come to hand and loads the horses with the spoils. The residents were confused: stunned by the unexpected attack, they were at first unable to defend themselves, but soon gathered their strength and rushed at the robbers. According to the agreement, the female hero smashes the enemies pressing against her from everywhere in a thick crowd. But their number is growing; They approach the woman struggling alone like a wall. To his horror, Zane, who was watching the outcome of the struggle from the sidelines, noticed that his wife seemed to be languishing in an unequal struggle. Without hesitation, he rushes into battle. Together they perform miracles of courage. A female hero sees that another knight, even more powerful than she, is helping her out of trouble, and is involuntarily surprised by his invincible strength and heroic courage. Suddenly she noticed that blood was streaming from the stranger’s hand: he was wounded by an enemy arrow in the place where the handcuff meets the glove. With the speed of lightning, she found herself next to him and tied her silk scarf around his hand. The fight came to an end: the enemies retreated, and the attackers went home with rich booty.
Denouement.
When the participants in the raid were still dividing their booty, Zane jumped on his horse and was like that... The female hero looked for her savior with her eyes, but there was no trace of him. Then she jumped on her horse and rushed towards her mansion. The light had not yet dawned when she found herself in bed next to her husband. Zane pretended to be asleep. Lifting the blanket, she noticed that her husband's hand was tied with a silk scarf. She immediately recognized her handkerchief and, of course, guessed what was the matter. Amazement turned into a swift rush of passion: she threw herself on Zane’s chest with the following words:
“Know, dear Zane, that until now I was not like other women: at night I went out secretly from everyone to take part in raids, and disappeared for whole weeks and months, performing heroic deeds in different places. Once, disguised as a man, I met a knight on the high seas looking for his wife, and helped him find her. We took her with the help of weapons, but then I cut the unfaithful woman in half and threw the corpse into the sea...
Now it was Zane’s turn to be surprised: in the facial features of his dear wife, he recognized his faithful companion. In an excess of feelings, he wanted to throw himself into the arms of his wife, but she, pushing him away, said:
– Until now I was a strong woman; but, having found a male hero who surpasses me in strength, I submit to him, give up my old habits and return to the occupations characteristic of other women: housekeeping, yarn and needlework. I want to be a weak woman: it will be better for both you and me!
The next morning, the miraculous transformation of the female hero became known to all residents. Not only the Barakhunov brothers rejoiced, but also their subjects. Everyone hurried to the tower to congratulate Karabatir-Zane, a strong man, and his incomparable wife, a weak woman.
Several days passed among feasts and amusements, and then the happy couple, richly gifted by the seven Bara-Khunov brothers, boarded the ship and sailed with a fair wind to their native land.
