Molla Nasreddin met a gloomy man wandering along the road to the city.
- What's wrong with you? - Molla asked.
The man showed him a tattered travel bag and said plaintively:
“Everything I own in this infinitely vast world will barely fill this pitiful, worthless bag!”
“Yes, it’s bad,” Molla sympathized.
With these words, he snatched the bag from the man’s hands and began to run away along the road.
Having lost all his property, the man burst into tears and continued on his way in a depressed state of mind. Meanwhile, Molla ran ahead and placed the bag right in the middle of the road so that the person would certainly notice the find. When he saw his bag lying on the way, he laughed with joy and cried out:
- Oh, my little bag! And I thought I had completely lost you!
“This is how easy it is to make a person happy,” Molla thought, watching him from the roadside bushes and chuckling.
