He didn’t know how to swim and began to beg the black man: “Save me, black man!” I will set you free! The slave heard such a promise and pulled his master ashore. But he did not keep his word. And the same thing happened again: the owner fell into the river, promised the black man freedom, and he saved him. However, the release document was never signed. The third time, when the same misfortune happened, the owner, already going down, again promised to free the black man. But he told him: “You want me to save you... This is possible, just first sign the paper under water.”
