Once upon a time there was a boy named Tiny Baby. And he had a cow named Horned-Bodataya.
So one morning Tiny-Baby went to milk Horned-Butted and said to her:
Stop, cow, my friend,
Stop, my Horned One,
I'll give you a horn
You are my Bodaty.
He, of course, meant “pie,” you understand. But the cow did not want the pie and did not stand still.
- Fu-you, you-you! - Little Baby got angry and said to her again:
Stop, little cow, my Horned one.
Give me some milk, my Bodataya.
Be smart, obedient,
I'll give you a donut.
But the cow did not want to stand still.
What was a poor little thing to do with such a Horned One, such a Bodata?
Little Baby went home to his mother.
- Mom, mom! Horned-Butted doesn’t want to stand still, Tiny-Baby can’t milk her!
- Fu-you, you-you! - says mom. - Break the twig, beat the disobedient cattle.
Little Baby went to the tree for a twig and said to him:
Give me a twig
And I'll give you canvas!
But the tree did not want the canvas and did not give the boy any twigs.
Little Baby went home again to his mother.
- Mom, mom! The tree doesn’t give twigs, Horned-Butted doesn’t want to stand still, Tiny-Baby can’t milk her!
- Fu-you, you-you! - says mom. - Go to the butcher, let him slaughter the cow.
Little Baby went to the butcher and said to him:
Our Butted-Horned One doesn’t give us milk, let the butcher kill our Horned-Butted One!
But the butcher did not want to kill the cow without a silver penny. And Little Baby went home to his mother again.
- Mom, mom! The butcher doesn’t want to kill the cow without a silver penny, the tree doesn’t want to give him a twig, Horny-Butt-Hunted doesn’t want to stand still, Tiny-Baby can’t milk her.
“Ay, ah, ah,” says mom. - Go to our Horned One, to our Boded One, and tell her that the little girl with blue eyes is crying bitterly for a cup of milk.
So Tiny-Baby went again to Horned-Boded and told her that the little girl with blue eyes was crying bitterly for a cup of milk.
And the cow immediately became quiet and allowed the boy to milk her.
And the little girl with blue eyes stopped crying.
And everything worked out as well as possible.
Whatever is not for the worse is always for the better.
