One day Mulla Nasreddin was going to fly on an airplane for the first time. He was very scared, but he tried not to let anyone notice. He tried to act nonchalant, so he walked very bravely. This bravado was like an explanation: “I always travel by plane.”
And so he sat down in his seat and wanted to say something to calm himself down. Nasreddin spoke to the passenger sitting next to him. He looked out the window and noticed:
- Look, what an unimaginable height! People seem like ants.
“We haven’t taken off yet,” answered his neighbor. - These are ants.
