Once upon a time there lived an evil jackal. He did not let other jackals live, and they decided to teach the tyrant a lesson. We thought and thought and finally came up with an idea.
To begin with, they began to call the evil jackal Tiger.
The evil jackal really liked this. Now he became completely proud and decided that there was no beast stronger than him in the world.
One day, jackals were running across a field and suddenly they saw a huge flock of sheep grazing.
- Oh Tiger! You are omnipotent! - the jackals barked. - Get us a sheep! Look how your eyes light up at the sight of this delicacy!
The jackal bowed his head in agreement, crashed into the thick of the sheep and killed two defenseless lambs.
The jackals ran further. They ran for a long time and finally stopped near the stables. They see beautiful Arabian horses standing there.
The jackals turned to their Tiger again:
- O mighty of the mighty! We see how your eyes lit up again! Perhaps you want to kick one of these stupid horses?
The jackal grinned smugly and, approaching the huge horse, threw himself on its back. The horse was not at a loss and kicked the arrogant jackal so hard that he flew over the fence, somersaulted in the air twice and fell unconscious on the ground.
The rest of the jackals fled to their lairs, glad that they were able to teach the arrogant one a lesson.
A few hours later the jackal came to his senses, whom no one called Tiger anymore. He dragged himself into his lair and said in a quiet voice:
“God forbid that someone whose eyes sparkle should be told about it at the wrong time!”
