All this is food

All this is food

One teacher of the highest level was also a peasant. He wrote many books and instructions. One day, a man who read all this and imagined himself to be a Seeker came to him to discuss lofty matters.

“I’ve read all your books,” said the visitor, “and I agree with some and disagree with others.” In some of them, again, I agree with some parts and do not understand others. I like some books more than others.

The sage farmer led his guest into the farm yard, where there were many animals and food for them. There he said:

- I am a peasant, a food producer. Do you see those apples and carrots? Some people like one thing, others another. Do you see these animals? Other people have seen them too, but they prefer some for riding, others for breeding, and others for eating. Some people like chickens, others like kids. “Like” or “dislike” are not the common denominator.

All this is food.
