About the nosy novice
Enlight

One day, artists wandered into a small village in Upper Burma. The villagers quickly built a platform for them and everyone, young and old, came to watch the performance. And not far from the place where the platform was built, there was a monastery school, so the novices could also watch the performance on the sly.

When the monks went to bed at the appointed time, one nosy novice slipped out of the school gates, perched himself on the Buddha's shoulder and began to enthusiastically watch the actors play. Meanwhile, a peasant was passing by. Seeing a young man sitting on Buddha’s shoulder, he addressed him with these words:

- Hey, listen, why did you choose such an inappropriate place?

The young man was not at a loss.

- Why inappropriate? – he responded quickly. “Didn’t you yourself, when you were little and wanted to see something better, climb on your father’s shoulders?” He probably climbed. So why can't I sit on my father's shoulder! As you know, Buddha is the father of the novice!
