In ancient times, the mason wasp was a human. One day, taking with him a bow and a quiver of arrows, the wasp husband set off with his wife. He walked in front, and his wife walked behind.
The wife asked:
- Oh my husband! Kill this hare for me! The husband put his quiver on the ground and asked:
- Where is the hare? The wife showed:
- He lies over there.
And the husband took out the arrow and, bending down, moved forward - as people usually do, so as not to frighten off the hare when he lies hidden.
And the wife said:
- Drop your kaross! Why don't you take it off?
And the husband, continuing to move forward, loosened the ties of his kaross and threw it to the ground.
Then his wife began to laugh at him, at his thin waist:
- How did you get born like this? So that's why you didn't want to take off the kaross!
Then the husband turned, aimed his bow at his wife and fired, so that the tip of the arrow pierced her right in the chest. His wife fell dead.
Then he cried:
- And-and, and-and, and-and! Oh my wife, a-and!
He cried as if it was not he himself who had shot her. He cried because he was forced to do this and kill his wife, and then she died.
