About the bat
Enlight

Once upon a time a great war broke out between animals and birds. Then the bat said to himself:

- No one has yet decided who I am - an animal or a bird. Some say that I am an animal, others that I am a bird. It’s better for me to keep to myself for now and think things over carefully. I will not join forces with animals or birds; I'll see who can beat whom. Which side wins, I will go to that side!

Meanwhile, the animal army met the bird army, and a battle ensued. And the bat only watched the battle from afar. And it began to seem to her that the birds were winning. Then she flew in their direction, but did not come close to them, she just thought: “If they win, I’ll join them!”

But then it suddenly seemed to her that the animals were overpowering. Then the bat darted into the ranks of the animals and said:

“My muzzle is exactly the same as that of mice.” I feed my baby milk, but birds are not given this. So I'm a beast. So accept me into your tribe! And I will serve you faithfully forever. I won't betray you for anything in the world!

The animals believed the bat and accepted it into their tribe.

But the birds still defeated the animals - their commander, the eagle, was very brave. Then the bat was scared to death and thought: “Now I can’t escape the bird’s claws!”

The bat thought so and decided to flee. She flew into the mountains and forests and began to hide there in the hollows of trees.

This is how she lives now, despicable: she hides during the day, and at night, when all the birds are sitting in their nests, she flies out.

It is truly unworthy to be a coward, and treachery and meanness are shameful and reprehensible!
