A long time ago, there lived a monk in a village. He was the organizer of all kinds of holiday entertainment in the area.
One day during a performance, where he, as usual, kept order, a quarrel broke out among the audience. The quarrel, just like that, could develop into a scandal, and then the monk, in order to calm the disputants, perched himself on the platform where the theatrical performance was taking place, and threatened them with a baton.
At the same time, one of the spectators, turning to his neighbor, said:
“Perhaps the actor who played the monk performed the role best of all.”
