About a cunning man who traded

In one village there lived a cunning man who lived in trade.

Some villagers once invited him to be an intermediary in the sale of a cow. But I must say that the cow was very old, useless. But the cunning man agreed. During the auction, he endlessly winked at both the seller and the buyer.

A few days later the sly man met the former owner of the cow. He began to thank him:

- Thank you very much. Thanks to your help, I got more than I expected.

“It’s good that you understood me right away,” the sly man answered, “I wanted to tell you that you should ask more for the cow, but there were a lot of people around, so I had no choice but to wink.”

And a few days later the cunning man met the current owner of the cow.

- I got burned! – he began to complain. “The cow is good for nothing at all.”

The sly man shook his head sadly:

- What a pity that you didn’t understand me. I winked at you all the time - don’t buy this skinny cow. I couldn’t tell you anything - there were too many people around.
